It would be beyond cool lol, we've all been told there's no connection to the other heroes but a post credits scene that would show us otherwise would be dope :p

Not expecting that one bit though, I doubt we're gonna see full fledged games for the other Avengers any time soon

Full details from the GI magazine article.

Controls:

  • L3 to dive and gain momentum
  • X to send out a zip web (used to move around buildings quickly and make sudden turns in direction
  • Scan environment by pressing R3

Suits:

  • You start off with the traditional suit
  • They don't explain the white spider, but do explain some aspects of the new suit, the red parts on the suit are made for armor reinforcement, where he might get hit the most and the blue parts are used for flexibility in order to traverse easier
  • They saw silhouettes of a dozen suits, but they said there would be more in the final game
  • It seems like certain suits will have their own abilities

Combat:

  • It's fast and fluid
  • Spider-Man jumps from one enemy to the next with ease
  • All about giving the player choices; webbing up and using items, fighting enemies in the air, using gadgets, finishing moves.

Peter Parker:

  • The part that they got to play with Peter Parker is the one we see in the PGW trailer at the F.E.A.S.T shelter
  • Walk around the shelter interacting with various items, speaking to characters
  • They compare it to those quiet moments in Uncharted games where people are walking around going about their business interacting with each other and various things in the environment

The Open World:

  • The city is densely packed with people and life. Saying that none of the details disappear when they are at a distance
  • Can interact with citizens; take selfies with them, high five, finger guns
  • Definitely Marvel's Universe; Avengers building, Wakandan Embassy

Side Activities:

  • One has you grabbing various backpacks that Peter has webbed up in the past , the one they picked up in the demo had and image Spider-Man's old webshooters
  • Taskmaster has placed various bombs all over the city that need to be defused
  • Earn crafting components for competing these missions, bonus objectives during them give you more materials
  • Outposts that are run by Kingpin need to be taken down
  • Seems like Shocker bit from the trailer is tied into a side mission
  • Random crimes happen; robberies (actually get to go into interiors), car chases.
  • Take photos of some golden cats that are strewn about by Black Cat

Leveling System:

  • Gain experience for doing various tasks; finding landmarks, combat, exploration.
  • Various traversal upgrades; swing speed, faster launching

Gadgets:

  • Tripwire which we've seen in the demo
  • Web bomb which incapacitates a group of enemies at once
  • Spider Drone which can shoot webs of it's own at enemies

DLC "City Never Sleeps":

  • Committed to keeping people engaged after the main story
  • Each will feature a unique villain, storyline, missions, challenges, and suits
  • First one is called "The Heist" and features the Black Cat

Minor Story Details:

  • Mary Jane and Peter are not together at the time
  • Game opens up with having to take down Kingpin
  • Opens up in Peter's apartment showing some daily bugle cut outs of Vulture, Electro, and Rhino. Doesn't confirm them as villains in the game, just that some cutouts of them getting captured by Spider-Man are there.

The best part is the quote at the end:

"I walked away from Spider-Man with one word in mind: Amazing. Insomniac is poised to do for Spider-Man what Rocksteady did for Batman. Only experienced a small part of what will be in the final product, but what I played is exactly what I want from a Spider-Man game"

Hmm, apparently this game's New York *WILL* have the Avengers tower in it. So, cameo's from at least Iron Man (voiced if not visual) might be a possibility.

So a special edition is up for pre-order on some UK/AUS stores. There's still hope for me getting that steelbook. Seriously one of the best steelbooks I've seen, despite just being a logo :p

A leaked video pulled from PlayStation’s official YouTube channel but mirrored in the nick of time has revealed that the Iron Spider Suit from Avengers: Infinity War will feature in Insomniac Games’ forthcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Spider-Man. To be clear, this is the movie design, and not the Iron Spider Armour that some of you may be familiar with from some classic comics.

Everyone's so caught up in the God of War hype that we almost forgot Gameinformer is running Spiderman coverage this whole month. They put up another new article and a video of all the little things that make up the game. Video in the link below.

This looks like one of the most ambitious takes on an open world in a game yet, especially considering they're modeling a full city and not a mostly empty landscape like Red Dead.

The Little Touches In Spider-Man - Features

In my write-up of Spider-Man, which appears in Game Informer's May issue, I detailed a moment where I stopped web swinging to explore the city on foot. In this brief detour from my mission, I was immediately struck with the sensation of the city being alive. I chuckled at the sight of yellow taxi cabs being everywhere, and found the sidewalks to be great for people watching. Some New Yorkers were standing around chatting with one another; others were going about their business. A few citizens even recognized me, and were quick to say hello or ask how I was doing. One brave woman even asked me for a selfie.

My walk veered into a small park between two apartment complexes. The park was lush with green trees and bushes, and I even saw a couple of squirrels dart in and out of cover. A basketball court sat at the center of the park. A few people were standing idle on the court, a ball at their feet. I used my webbing to pick up the ball, which I spun around my head before launching it into the distance. I was pleased by how much variety there was in the scenery, and it looks like there will be plenty of fun to be had just slowing the action down to take in the city.

We sadly don't have footage that shows off a moment like the one I just shared, but we do have some web swinging clips that give you an idea of how aware citizens are. The video you are about to watch also shows you how the game alerts you of side missions in different ways. Swinging through the city also brings the chance to listen to different things, such as J. Jonah Jameson's radio show, Just the Facts, which you'll hear briefly. This short blast of clips also shows you how Spider-Man expresses himself, either through jokes or with his eyes.

We hope you enjoy the video, and will join us next week for more developer interviews and insight into the game.

[h=1]Spider-Man PS4 Was Inspired By Batman’s Arkham Games[/h]

Sony’s PS4 exclusive Spider-Man is trying to reinvent the franchise in Insomniac’s upcoming game, and it sounds like the developers got their inspiration from Rocksteady’s already established Arkham series.
From Asylum to City, City to Knight, Rocksteady’s three Arkham games set the bar high with their open-world take on the many years of Batman lore. Littered with complex puzzles, well-hidden Easter Eggs, and beautifully redesigned villains, Rocksteady was a fan’s dream when it came to creating a Batman game. However, with news of a fourth entry struggling to get off the starting blocks since the acclaimed Arkham City hit shelves in 2015, Spider-Man could be the perfect solution to fill that comic book gap in the market.
[h=3]In a recent hands-on interview with The Telegraph, Spider-Man creative director Bryan Intihar lifted the hood on the Insomniac’s biggest game to date and let gamers know a little more about what’s making it tick. Intihar was keen to remind players that Spider-Man isn’t in competition with the Arkham series, but has used it as a blueprint for where to go:[/h]

People ask, do you find them competitors? No! They inspire! Those games inspire us. I look at those games but I don’t look at specific features, I look at the quality, not to mention fulfilling the fantasy of being Batman. Our goals are to make sure people say our game is on their quality level.”

With Spider-Man‘s sandbox feel and a plethora of famous friends and foes from the web-slinger’s world, the comparisons between Insomniac’s title and the Rocksteady games has been circling since the first footage of Webhead emerged. However, it is great to see that instead of shunning the idea that Spider-Man has been influenced by Arkham, Intihar and the team are keen to embrace the idea.
While the Arkham games were a typically grim take on the crime-riddled streets of Gotham City, Spider-Man is already showcasing one major difference. It was no surprise that the Dark Knight’s storylines all took place at night, but as Peter Parker swings from the rooftops of New York City, Spider-Man is a much brighter affair. That isn’t to say it will be all sunshine and web-slinging, with Insomniac promising a more mature take on Peter Parker as he is forced to take on dangerous villains like Kingpin, Shocker, and Mr. Negative.
The interview also highlighted that Spider-Man‘s script stands at an impressive 400,000 words, meaning that the developers have been able to inject plenty of Peter Parker’s chirpy wit into the game. Just like Rocksteady did with the Arkham series, Sony has given developers free reign on what they want to do, heading in a new direction away from the stories of the MCU. Time will tell how Spider-Man stacks up against the formidable reputation of Arkham, but with its September 7 release looming, spider-senses are tingling that this could be one heck of a game.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
