Why the heccc every Anime game is a fighting game?
As excited as I am about finally getting to play a game based on OPM, I have to agree with this. They could've done something much cooler with the franchise. Maybe an ARPG, where you start off as a rookie hero and rise up the ranks until you become an S class hero. Saitama could accompany you as an NPC on missions and aid you in general.

As it stands, it doesn't really make sense for Saitama to be a playable character in an OPM-based fighting game, because he can take anyone out with a single punch lol.

How would that work? His side mission would just be getting to point A, defeating everyone, including the boss with a single punch and end lol
Pretty boring If u ask me
He could handle more powerful monsters in the background, or he could be some sort of a summon. There are several ways they could've made it work. He could've even been your sensei for learning and practicing new techniques/moves. In the Manga/Anime, the side heroes are just as important to the story as Saitama, so it'd make sense imo.

[h=1]Meet more characters for One Punch Man’s fighting game[/h]

Vaccine Man, Mosquito Girl and Carnage Kabuto catch the hand

I thought it couldn’t get more bananas than Dragon Ball FighterZ, and then we got Jump Force. I thought that was the limit of Bandai Namco’s appetite for wild fighting game adaptations of over-the-top anime, completely forgetting about the existence of One Punch Man.
How Bandai Namco continues this bonkers trend after One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, I’ll leave that to the more animé-aware among us. The game was announced last week, and Bandai Namco followed that up from Anime Expo with this character trailer yesterday. It is outstanding, daaaaaaaaaaaaammittttt!
Forgive my easily amused nature, I don’t watch the show, I’ve only been ephemerally aware of it since the TV series got going about four years ago. Saitama faces a delightful rogues’ gallery of foes, among them Vaccine Man, Mosquito Girl, Carnage Kabuto and Deep Sea King. This is like when my best friend and I would get bored and start rolling random character sheets in the Marvel Super Heroes RPG, with the ne plus ultra of that being a hero who is bored by the fact his single punch has no worthy adversary.
We’re promised that the throwdowns in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will feature more than one titular punch — I guess? Depends on who you are talking about. This jittery trailer moves so fast it’s hard for me to tell, but it looks like One Punch Man just stands there getting rope-a-doped like Ali vs. Foreman until it’s time for Vaccine Man to catch the hand(s).
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows’ bizarre suitability for (or unsuitability to) the fighting game genre was perhaps summed up by this YouTube comment: “Imagine if they have patch notes and one reads: ‘Saitama nerfed.’”
Still no launch date, other than “coming soon,” for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. It’s a Spike Chunsoft joint (they did Jump Force).

This new trailer for the game sheds a little more light on how things will actually function. As it turns out, yes, you will be able to knock your opponent out in one hit -- but there's a catch. You start battles as a different character, and the better that you fight, the faster Saitama arrives on the scene. Once he gets there, you basically can't lose.

We assume this mechanic is a story mode feature, but if that's the case, does that mean Saitama isn't playable anywhere else? Surely not? It's a fun mechanic, but we still don't really understand how it'll be balanced. If he's allowed online, we know who we're maining!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
