Posted this one OPO Forums and sharing it here.

I got my phone a week back and it's the best phone i have used till now, there are few ups and downs but i guess with the never ending updates they should be sorted out soon.

Packaging

The box, the packaging and the branding everything simply stands out, when you open the box you know you have a very special device in your hands. I have been a geek all my life and I have never felt so excited or special holding a box of any other product till now.

The red and white color theme stands out and catches your eye and attention immediately, the form factor of the box is very different than other similar products and adds to that "stand out" factor.

Attention to detail is amazing, small things such as having that red "strip" to pull out the main package from the white covering again is something which lets you know how much thought was given to the overall presentation of the product.

Fortunately thanks to patience and a friend living abroad I was able to get my hands on the global 64gb version and i am happy with my choice.

Again the contrast in the colors makes the product stand out but i think i have said enough about that already.

Still double minded about having a separate box for charger, on one hand that makes the main box to have the sleek form factor it has but having another box for the charger was a first time experience for me. Keeping the high standards of the packaging I was impressed by attention to detail given to even the smaller box. Full marks to the marketing and branding team on this front.

It took me couple of seconds to digest the asthetic beauty of the product i had in front of me before actually attempting to take it in my hands, If i was not already impressed by the packaging i was in state of awe by the actual product.

Having seen ample amounts of reviews and pictures of the phone before just could not come close to having it in person. Coming from LG G2 my first impression was "OMG THIS IS BIG"

My friends dispute with me on the finish on the back, I personally love it but few of my friend's don't like the finish and as per them having an all almunium body would had been better, As far as I am concerned I love the overall exterior of the phone.

Taking the phone out of the box I again praised the design team behind the packaging on presentation of USB cable, The inclusion of the sim card ejector was a unique idea but being a spoiled brat I would had loved if it also a small USB pen drive.

The attention to detail speaks when you see the branding on the USB cable, the logo on the conenctor, the ever handy cable tie to keep it in perfect shape while not in use, full marks here from my side.

Missing From Package

Don't take me wrong, this epic package could have been even more epic and I wouldn't had mind paying extra few dollars if a branded hands free with the matching color theme was included. Also like i mentioned before if the sim unlock pin was a small USB pen drive it would had been so fricking epic souvenir to have.

Experience

I am not entirely new user to Cyanogen so i was familiar with the overall look and feel from the boot, ofcourse there was changes but i felt right at home, first thing i noticed was in comparison to my G2 this device was fast by a huge margin.

Perhaps the only thing I immediately missed from my G2 was the IR, being father of two lil naughty kids i have couple of remotes which have been experimented as food alternatives and have few buttons which now achieve something most of our politicians do i.e. nothing ... for me having IR was such a blast (oh the irony in statement here) besides telling my kids that i could do magic it meant i could no longer had to rely on slamming buttons on those remotes ...

I also missed the ability to keep the screen on by tracking the eye which both my S3 and G2 has/had, if there is some setting i need to do for that than please do let me know. Right out of the box i checked for updates and after three updates i was up and running the 33R, i have not faced a single glitch or problem with it so far apart from battery time.

Camera

Don't take me wrong, i normally shoot with a Canon T2i DSLR and to me phone camera's are nothing but marketing gimmick and atleast to me never the deciding factor behind the purhcase. My feelings towards the camera results are mixed, in day light it amazed me but just like other phone cameras in low light conditions it lacks way behind than even a dedicated proper P&S camera. I captured a few night time videos on 4k and to be honest i was very happy with the result. For living i work with digital movies all the time (I am certified Kinoton level-1 digital projection technician and I Head the digital projection and technology department for a nation wide theater chain), I will try testing the 4k videos i captured on our Barco or Kinoton projectors one of these days to really see how they compare to the kind of quality we deal with. Overall in day time i would not feel the need to carry my DSLR all around with me but in night and especially if i have to capture action i would rely more on my DSLR for those stills but would not hesitate at all (and prefer) my OPO for capturing videos.

Complaints

There are few things i noticed which atleast to me are small bugs like the theme store, no matter what category i select i end up going to same set of themes, also atleast i was not able to figure out a way to sort the themes so i could find the free one's easily, right now no matter if i select icons, wallpapers, sound i end up going to themes, this needs to be sorted out.

Conclusion

We might Abuses will lead to ban about the invite system but hey as far as I am concerned right now it gives me the bragging rights which i just love, the expressions and the "wow" i get from people who handle the device alone pays for the device. A long time die hard apple fan the other day asked me if i could give him an invite since this was the first andriod device he actually liked.

I am very happy with my purchase and i am looking forward for One Plus Two now ....

If you liked the review please do comment and pardon my english since it's not my mother tongue so i might have made mistakes here and there.

I really like the OPO and was trying so hard to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of any way of getting it here from USA and so I got myself a Moto G. Still, I'm quite happy with what I have at the moment, Alhumdulillah :)

Yes the slightly raised screen of this phone can create mess if it falls from hand. I also read some reviews of that and heard that they even make touch response better, so certainly that is on my list.
P.S. Did you update to 33r? how is it, battery wise?

the first thing i did after getting the phone was to run all the updates, it has been running on 33r since day one of usage. Battery is okay but i have heard it was even better in previous versions, i can get my full day of work with gps/wifi/bluetooth/sync on and by night time i have around 10-12% left

33r has been rock solid for me as well ! very satisfied with how the battery lasts. My Nexus 5 barely made it through the day on 3g

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
