i play isn SD, i got this issue with gta4 when i bought reg 2 gta4 it was not playing, but the shopkeeper was saying that if u run region 3 LBP on your region 1 PS3 it will hack your PS3!!! is it correct??

There is no such thing as a game hacking PS3. Your PS3 is NTSC (region 1) and the game is also NTSC (region 3), there won't be any compatibility issues. GTA4 you bought was PAL (region 2).

All PS3 games are region free. You would not face any issues with GTA4 from any region on any PS3 if you play it on an HDTV or LCD @720p / 1080i / 1080p. Only issues were due to 576i and 480i resolutions of PAL and NTSC. GTA4 had only one of these resolutions and that's why it did not work on different region consoles.

yup nomad is rite u wud get an error if u tried to play th pal gta on an sdtv as th resolution 576i is not supported(as it is a resolution for pal tvs).....if played on hdtvs or lcd monitor it wud work perfectly fine....

Friends join Old Snake in upcoming LBP costume pack

The cat's out of the bag. The Sony Hong Kong website has let slip details of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid LittleBigPlanet DLC. The content has grown substantially since we first saw Old Snake at TGS in October. He'll be joined by his buddies Meryl, Screaming Mantis and, if you buy the character pack, Raiden. Not only that but a level construction pack will also be made available. We have a feeling it'll include something quite surprising ...

There's no telling when these will be made available, or for how much, but we assume they'll be with us quite soon if they're already being listed on the Sony HK site. Would make a nice Christmas present during next week's Xmas Eve PSN Store update.

The bad news: According to a PlayStation Europe community manager, LittleBigPlanet's DLC hiatus will continue until next week, just slightly beyond January 22's promise of "big surprises."

The good news: As of January 26th, fans of Media Molecule's make-your-own-platformer will receive numerous downloadable goodies.

• January 26th -- Chinese New Year costumes (free, available for 10 days only)
• January 29th -- Groundhog Day costume (available one week only), God of War mini pack, Kratos costume
• February 5th -- Valentines Day mini pack (available for 2 weeks only)
• February 12th -- Ape Escape costume, Toro costume
• February 19th -- WipEout costume kit

The neutral news: Release dates and prices have yet to be confirmed for the North American PSN.

LittleBigPlanet scores most nominations for February's AIAA

There are two things LittleBigPlanet is well-known for. One, is to have successfully peddled off Sackboy as a lovable PlayStation mascot and the other is to rack up nominations like they're handing out free candy at the market. Continuing this trend of making industry heads turn and getting recognition, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has announced the nominees for its 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards with LittleBigPlanet being noted as most-nominated. Is there an award for just that -- most nominated?

All in all, the do-it-yourself platformer builder scored 10 nominations including "Overall Game of the Year" and "Outstanding Innovation in a Game"; however, we won't know if it won any of those until February 19 when the ceremony begins. Host Jay Mohr will surely bank on the opportunity to milk the LBP-crazed crowd with some Sackboy humor -- we just can't wait.
