This tournament apparently has a quarter-final as well. We're facing Germany on Dec 6 and whoever wins goes through to the semi finals.
It doesn't matter how you perform in the group stage. As long as you win that one quarter-final game. (lmao)

The other day, my dad and uncles and granddad, sab gaaliyan nikaal rahay thay ke in goron ne hockey ka berah gharak kardiya hai.


Basically, the only incentive for performing in the group stages now is that you'd come up against 'weaker' sides in the knockout stages. :|

We lost 5-2 to the Netherlands, as was expected.
India lost 3-0 to Australia.

We will be facing our arch-rivals in the bronze medal game. We defeated them thrice from 2002-2004 in successive CT tournaments for the Bronze medal.
