you sure mate, dose any one sees the YLOD in slims ones like 250gb or 320gb ?

I had read that thing in this same thread. I think Mani was asking the same thing and someone replied him that yes, slims also get ylod.
haven't experienced it myself, as i own a phat 60gb ps3 :\

My ps3 is the slim 250gb, I don't go in the details and all so I have no idea if it suffers from the ylod. Though the serial is (CECH-2101B)

Can anyone kindly tell me the details for this one and how to maneuver the chances to get ylod? I'd be glad

i think the slim doesnt get ylod.havent heard of any cases of ylod in the slim!

you turn off contorller vibration then chack it.

Well thanks for answering but I don't want to lose my data since I have dozens of games in my harddisk (I have hacked PS3). But I got my answer in other thread that it's my lens problem so I won't be spamming here anymore, Insha'Allah!!

My ps3 had heating issue... sometimes playing fan would run fast and make loud noise...than recently when i was playing my ps3 froze and screen color changed and i turned it off... now when i turn it on display does not shows and green light is on...recovery mode not coming on... and when i turn on my ps3 i dont hear my fan working...

Hey i faced a really weird problem lately......its not a prblem but it jus kinda worries me.......i downloaded the new version of multiman and n i was chekin things out , then i quite the program...when i did the system just beeped out on me n shut itslfdown , n i could see the red light blinking..i was like Fuc.? then i touched the AC button the red light turned normal...meaning it stayed there as if i just switched on my ps3....then when i touched it again ma ps3 turned on.........any idea wat happned..?

If it starts beeping ( beeps 3 times ) and shuts down, that is the emergency shutdown, happens often and isn't a specifically alarming thing.

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2nd hand 60 GB PAL PS3 with cfw 3.55 running all games from hardisk. I checked the system for 2 days it run very fine with no problem. Then after few days my games start freezing and ps3 automatically shutting down. And then i got the yellow light of death. I took it to the Imperial market of Sadar Rawalpindi. He gave me my system back running fine again. But yesterday i opened the ps3 upper cover to clean the dust and when i put the cover back to ps3, started the system, system did not show xmb nothing visible and constant red light and then it shutdown. From then again ylod every time i switched on.
Can somebody explain it to me what happened. I am sure the repairing was just thermal paste replacement or reflowing and not reballing.

I am from Wah Cantt.
Please help me...

Take it back for getting it repaired, and next time, don't act like a technical expert and try to maintain/fix/repair it on your own.
