I called them and they confirmed the opposite. But the local warranty ones are box opened due to customs check.

and Samsung is not Apple.
If they are going to keep working on making touchwiz better, they need to get rid of a fixed color navbar; its as ugly as a fixed color statusbar that used to exist on android. It should be transparent and adjust its color according to the app being used just like the statusbar does. Its a simple option that is available through apps that are non root and available on the playstore and it can easily be implemented by Samsung and they likely will. Its these little details that matter and which make a product a complete package.
They also need to work on their theme store at the moment cause its more or less a ghost town.

That fixed Nav bar color has to be the most annoying thing on android. Aside from pure black themes available, there aren't any interesting ones.

I still don't get if a theme can apply black color scheme to default keyboard, why they don't have the option for it in settings.

S8 (samsung experience launcher) is quite quirky though, sometimes facepalm level oversights. But overall it's seriously great phone. I haven't even restarted it for like a month and still don't need to.

PS: The Arrow launcher by Microsoft is one hell of a good launcher, must try.

Getting Samsung theme store approval is the most difficult thing ever. They're a bit racist and usually choose Asians regardless of whether their themes look like dog shit, or they'll pick someone who has the most retarded looking theme ever and approve that.
Anyone with a genuine idea for a theme gets rejected immediately.

I tried applying, a guy on XDA designing a simple black theme tried applying, a bunch of people with pretty great ideas started applying and they all got rejected by Samsung. Their themes are available, in fact I'm using one that's not from the theme store, but getting it to stick is a bit of a hassle and it's quite annoying.

Their own themes are mostly non practical with weird color choices. Personally I don't like the idea of using a theme. Feels windows XP + Windowblinds era to me.

A solid interface is always better over fancy theme.

There's a Dev that I know working on a way to get non theme store themes to work properly on S8 and it's almost done, should be available on the Play Store soon.

Just wanted to put an app out here, in case someone does not know ahout this. Navbar apps is an app which changes the navbar color to the app's main colors. For example, if you're using whatsapp, the navbar will be th same shade as the whatsapp green. Here's the link.

guys i have a few queries regarding protection of s8 plus set
altough alot of my queries have already been answered including these too, thanks to [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION] he really helped alot with all my tons of questions

i want a transparent case so that back colour wont get hidden but i want good protection too like a hard sturdy case type.
so far i have came across fusion case, spigen liquid crystal and rhinoshield crash guard though i am not sure if this crash guard will provide protection when its going to be in my pocket esp when i am on a bike with pocket squeezing down on front n back side and pocket has zip so...
as for front i want a protection that wont peel off, how is jelly case? otherwise i have seen some here like defender etc
i just want my investment protected from scratches, i dont like them at all.
i am already going way out of my budget to get s8 plus so spending an extra 5k for back n front is bit of a stretch so let me know how can it be best protected in a budget, thanks.

I bought a Spigen case from Amazon. It was liquid crystal I guess. Its pretty solid and I believe it will protect against light drops. But I’m not sure as I don’t use it. I like my phones as much naked as possible.

I got this gloss red and gloss black skin from Xtreme Skins UK and I really like the black red combo.

No idea about protector as I don’t apply screen protectors.

I have a Spigen Liquid Air cover that hasn't been used at all because it messes with the current screen protector I have.

If you want to flaunt the phone without any additional bump and need protection for the back, the best case is the official Samsung's clear cover, which I got with my preorder. The case seriously doesn't feel like its even there and protects the sides and the back very well. It's an official Samsung product so it fits like a glove.

Other than that, I want to use the Liquid Air cover, it looks great but only once I change the screen protector.
