I've been using mine without a screen protector, and last night under the light of a very bright lamp, I noticed the tiniest scratch near where the home button is on the navigation bar. It's so small, you can only see it if you tilt the phone in a certain direction.

Guess I'm going to have to order a 2-pack of screen protectors as well.

Crap.

Fuck.

I used mine without a screen protector for a day. Got 2x sticker screen protectors with my pre-order, I tried applying one but ruined it and then got the second one applied by a shop.

Pretty much relaxed now knowing atleast I have some sort of protection.

S8/S8+ owners, we seem to have come across yet another lottery.

Aside from the red tint display which we seem to be safe from, there is a chance you can get UFS 2.0 storage instead of the initially advertised UFS 2.1, the difference is 100-200 mb/s in read/write speeds.

There is a terminal command you can use to check which one you have, see more at this XDA thread here and vote in the poll if you got UFS 2.0 or 2.1 on your Exynos device.

Mine is UFS 2.1, have absolutely no issues with red tint, or restarting.

Whereas my friend in US just got his and it already restarted twice, and there's something with the bluetooth connectivity.

The Bluetooth issue I believe is fixable by a software update, the restarting however seems isolated to the Snapdragon 835 variants and not for us Exynos users.

I ordered the 2 pack of Spigen protectors and another set for the back as well so I can start using this without a case.

Hopefully should be getting it in about 2 weeks.

I saw about this yesterday at XDA but held it off until morning today to check deeply.

UFS2.1 here as well.

Also the OP at XDA writes that possibly all Exynos variants are UFS2.1 whereas Snapdragon owners get the real lottery situation.

I went in and got the fake Zagg installed, and then used this 2 piece clip on case I found at a shop. One piece sits on the front, and the other at the back. Going to be using this until my Spigen protector arrives.
