^This book is awesome guys, the Kray twins life of crime ended when they were arrested at the age of only 34, but in these 34 years they left a legacy so sinister that even the most violent criminals of history will salute them for their unique style of malevolent career in crime.Their profession was violence, they were the leader of their gang but instead of sending their hoods for crime they were always at the forefront with their hencies trailing behind.Even the crown of British law enforcing unit, the mighty Scotlandyard was afraid of them. When they were caught it was due to a mistake on their own part instead of cleverness of police.I had heard of the Kray twins a long time ago, i used to think they were some ordinary hooligans of england, i was insearch of a decent book on them for quite some time and by luck i found this book 15 days ago and finished it 2 days ago. After reading it i was in awe of these most dangerous individuals, they are going to stay at the top of my real life villians list.

Meray bhai aap aik bar yeh kitab to padh lain phir aap ko pata chal jayay ga 'Kray Twins' main kitna dum tha.

As for the villians you mentioned like Uzair, Baba Ladla, Jaingo etc, these fellows are hidden, they always send their gangster boys to do their dirty work, while the Krays were those that were always insearch of incidents where they could wreck havoc on anyone with their own bloody hands. They were brutal sadists, they enjoyed their profession just like me and you enjoy gaming.

I just ended Dan Brown's "Inferno". Unlike his previous works, I was left disappointed after finishing it. Uneven pacing, weak plot and less-than-interesting characters are just some of the problems this book suffers from. I would go so far as to say this is easily Brown's weakest novel to date.

The final quarter of the novel was, personally, of a lot of interest for me. Having visited the said country and researched about its historic landmarks, I was able to relate to them unlike the other areas depicted in Dan Brown's books.

I still haven't read it. I have a legit copy, though I have no idea why the hell I bought it. I regret buying it after reading the reviews. And I didn't like The Lost Symbol.

I didn't fancy "The Lost Symbol" too much either. The quality of Brown's novels is rapidly on the decline since "The Da Vinci Code" which was a spectacular novel.
His novels are gripping and "Inferno" isn't alien to this trait. But it just didn't feel right at the end. Perhaps due to the lack of a proper climax?

Amusing Ourselves To Death >>> Neil Postman

...............................................................

About the book:
Originally published in 1985, Neil Postman's groundbreaking polemic about the corrosive effects of television on our politics and public discourse has been hailed as a twenty-first-century book published in the twentieth century. Now, with television joined by more sophisticated electronic media--from the Internet to cell phones to DVDs--it has taken on even greater significance. Amusing Ourselves to Death is a prophetic look at what happens when politics, journalism, education, and even religion become subject to the demands of entertainment. It is also a blueprint for regaining controlof our media, so that they can serve our highest goals.

I actually have this lying at home along with "The Great Game". Would provide a much needed historical perspective of this region.

Gonna get Catch-22 then. Have you perchance read The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year by Sue Townsend?
Nope. Never read that book.

The Fault in Our Stars

by
John Green

TIME Magazine’s #1 Fiction Book of 2012!
“The Fault in Our Stars is a love story, one of the most genuine and moving ones in recent American fiction, but it’s also an existential tragedy of tremendous intelligence and courage and sadness.” —Lev Grossman, TIME Magazine

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.
