NUST/GIKI admission test papers?

Salam.

Can anyone direct me in the right direction, that where can I get entry test papers of past years for preparation for these two universities (Mechanical UG). They must be full papers containing the 200 MCQs they require (not those sample papers containing 15 MCQs). Thanks.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

NUST online admission tests would begin at the end of March, it says so on their website. Tests would likely be held on 15 July or somewhere close to that date.

Get hold of F.Sc books Shary. I doubt you can get hold of past papers. The NUST authorities wouldn't allow them to be publicly viewable.
Heard of the leaked test paper from last year though. See if you can find it from someplace.

lol NUST's test is so easy(gave it twice last year because of the retest). No need to even prepare :yay: Cant say the same for GIKI(and LUMS too), you have to do a lot more thinking for them(especially LUMS).

We say the same for LUMS. Because we alevels students study with concepts not ratafication.

Frankly i found Nust test to be very hard, especially fsc chemistry. That is like next level hard.

Since my mom works in Nust, i'll try getting some previous tests out.

Although my suggestion to you would be to join some academy before time for entry test preparation as it is quite hard or simply appear for SAT II in May or June this year. That could be a better option if your looking directly to get into Nust since i'm doing the very same.

In academies, they give you past tests.

KIPS has all the past papers. But they won't give them to you. Only to solve. So you're going to have to spend 20k to get a glimpse of them

Currently I am studying Inter Physics of class XII, book of 300 pages. Would this book be enough? Arshi Series something...

If someone could get me even a single past paper, I'd be very grateful to him/her.

SATII tests are required to get into Unis na? Then I think I should look for SATII papers man! Cuz I heard that atleast the English and Maths are very similar. I am trying to do it all by myself.

Ehem, I got into NUST, LUMS and GIKI. So I have no idea what you are trying to say. Oh and one more thing.. the part about A level students studying with concepts..yeah right. I know three A level students who got A*s in almost all subjects and STILL they don't know how to apply concepts well.

i don't know the situation right now but when i did it... it was true... and no one without clear concepts can get an A in alevels... that is just a simple truth...

and what are you guyz worrying about... i gave the papers to all of these at my time(many years ago... giki electronic engineer here)... it was all easy and i got admission in everything... maybe because i did SAT and SATII...

Confirm a few things to me:

Will preparing for SAT and SAT II (not actually giving SAT paper but only preparing for it) allow me to pass entry test, if I study A Levels?

What new topics do I have to study in Maths, Physics and Chemistry if I am doing A Levels and want to prepare for entry test. I know a few in Maths like Matrices, but I wanna know more.

Hi Shary...

Being a Luminite(SSE), I will recommend SAT II as well as SAT I. SSE has a very strict criteria and only those with strong skills in Sciences can get through the admission process. Try to make up concepts and consult as many resources as you can. LUMS does give 'some' weight to extra curricular activities (but definitely not to being moderator on some gaming site....!)

Standards are pretty much higher than people here are expecting them to be. Many students from Alevels are getting Fs here...

Wow... I better do my best then. For the time being I am concentrating wholly on A Level papers. But as soon as they are over, I will begin NUST admission test preparation.

Will 1.5 months be enough for me to prepare for the NUST entry tests?

Yes. Actually more than enough...

Do give more time to chemistry because in NET(NUST Entry Test) the questions in this section are mostly (if not all) from the FSc chemistry. Wish you all the best..

What about LUMS? Did you appear in the test?

No I did not apply to LUMS.

I agree that Chemistry is a lot more complex in Inter course than in A Level course. Physics is very easy I studied a few Inter chapters.
