Well, if all you want to play is Super Mario and you think anything above 720p is overkill and PS2 era graphics are the best, sure, get a Switch

You should be more concerned about system RAM. Even then, I doubt any browser will require RTX GPUs to render any of their tabs

i have not yet played my switch once docked, keeping it as handheld and 720p is definitely not 4k but on a handheld it does fine just that but switch isn't selling like hot cakes because of the graphics it has now is it

nintendo was always one step behind in the graphics war with xbox and ps that's a no brainer but it does bring out AAA goty even without so .

Playing muliplayer on Switch is not pleasent. 3 games I think of are Smash, Mario Kart and Splaroon 2. It is not neccesary to play online in rest of top exclusives.

Most of its multiplayer modes are padding like in Odyssey and Luigis Mansion multiplayer mode.

In addition to the ones you mentioned:

- Pokemon Sword and Shield
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Luigi's Mansion 3 (I have no idea why you think multiplayer is padding lol. The expansion pass is entirely for the multiplayer)
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons (playing this without online is a mere fraction of the overall experience lol)

That said, I do agree that Nintendo online is barebones. Lack of in-game voice chat support, OS party chat etc. has most people resorting to Discord. The games themselves run great, however.

Nintendo 64 wasn't one step behind Playstation 1 in term of graphics. Gamecube wasn't one step behind Playstation 2 and Xbox in terms of graphics.

I mean, it can run TETRIS at 1080p. How can any other console or PC compete? You didn't like my comment about PS2 era graphics, and then posted a list consisting of games that would look at home on SNES

But if you had read some of the posts below the one you have copied from, you would have found out that many of the games you have mentioned are not always 1080p @ 60fps in docked mode.


As far as your attempted jibe at PC performance is concerned, I mean, come on dude. Here we are discussing native Switch games that can't even run at 1080p on Switch being emulated at 4k on PC, and you thought this was the opportune moment to mock performance of PCs? :fp1:

@Nomad you asked for a list of games 1080p on the switch i gave em to you. now how else do you expect me to check each and every games which works at 1080p on the switch ? of course i was going to search on the internet. dynamic resolution for fighterZ yes i saw that but it does run at 1080p plus 60fps that is a feat a 300$ handheld hybrid can do. show me a pc that runs 1080p/60fps in 300$ and is a handheld too please dont let it be minecraft or fortnite

as for the jibe was i wrong that pc's do still up to date strugge to run crysis at 1080p/60fps ?

@Chandoo @JANARIOO in case y'all were looking to try some of the single-player games on the Switch.

Astral Chain and Fire Emblem run at 60fps via a mod, so better than the original hardware.

Xenoblade Definitive edition and Xenoblade 2 don't work afaik, but definitely worth checking out once they do.

I got a jb switxh while i was visiting pakistan now m lockdown herw with my pc in uae.

So all i am plying r switch games.

You should also give the Switch version of DMC3 a try. Has on-the-fly weapon switching.
