New Rig.

Yo peeps im back.
So I was gonna buy a 360 but couldnt find a arcade.Then my parents told me to grow up and get a PC.
So hows this rig.
INTEL E2180 2.0Ghz (1MB CACHE - 800 MHZ FSB)
ASUS P5B-MX INTEL 946GZ
MAXTOR 250GB 3.5" HDD SATA-II 7200RPM
COOLER MASTER 500 WATTS EXTREME POWER
CORSIAR DDRII 2GB-667
INNO GeForce PCX 9600GT 512MB-256BITS DDRIII
They ran out of the i-chill.
So any recommendations???
Plus I wanted to ask that is ordering from galaxy safe??
Mean hows their service???

Im on a budget Muaz.Mayb I can change the processor later.
And I was going for Ati 3870 but galaxy is out of both 3870 and 4850.So now i get to choose 9600 GT XFX,BFG or Inno.Any suggestion?

Yaar seagate is like 4.7 and maxtor is 3.9k.Only that seagate got an 8 mb cache.
Anybody know any gud shop offring gud rates like galaxy in rwp/isbd???

Get whichever you want, BFG is the best option.

Change motherboard to a G31 based motherboard, P5KPL-VM ... or a nVidia 630i ... better support and overclockable. Rams are fine. DDR2-667 and 800 matter very little unless you are going to go heavy overclock, and that I dont thik you will with that processor or motherboard.

I also wanted an i-chill but galaxy is out of it and I ve a got a biiiiiiiiiig problem with waiting.I am only choosing P5B-MX over P5KPL-VM cuz of built in wifi.
And I dont plan to overclock heavily but just neccessary overclocking for gaming.So wud u guyz suggest pc's in budget of 30 32k.

he is not going for extreme overclocking so no need to buy external cooler for cpu.....i m using stock hsf and i have my [email protected] ghz, temps never exceed 66 degrees on cores on heaviest of cpu usage.....

As far as gpu is concerned, i would suggest u to go for 4850 but galaxy is out of stock on those too, so only option u hve is 9600 gso, 9600 gt and 9800 gt..........i say go for 9600 gso now and as soon as 4850 arrives again in stock, sell ur 9600 gso and get 4850.......there is not much performance different b/w 9600 gso and 9600 gt, however, price difference is pretty noticable.....

Just wait a little for the 9600Gt I-chill, get that baby, OC it more and enjoy... 667Mhz memory is fine, no need for 800Mhz, motherboard is not good, why you want wifi... ? Anyway, your choice not a big problem anyway. The rest is fine I guess, enjoy when you buy it.

guys i wanna ask...that does p5b-mx have overclocking options like vcore adjustment in bios? i am also looking to pair it with a e2180....im on a budget and need a mobo..with OC option like Vcore in less than RS 5000....P5kPL-VM does not have this..and P5k-VM seems out of reach...this is my second build...so its a secondary rig...

look guys he doesnt want to overclock so he doesnt need a kick ass mobo...get the intel dg31 thats a very nice stable chipset....ur gfx card is good enough...if u have a 17-19 inch monitor in mind u dont need to overspend on the gfx card either....

the way im looking at it 800mhz ram is good if u get it at the same price tag otherwise 667 is good enough...in fact chances are 800mhz might be slower due to latencies and if u want similar latencies u wud have to pay more...

The way i see it uv got a well balanced pc in place...just replace the mobo with a g31 based mobo from asus or intel doesnt matter cuz ur looking to run this system stock!

CPU is fine, if u r on a budget then get a mid end GPU with aftermarket cooler (like ichill) overclock it like hell and u r good to go

and intel boards suck, they are boring

If you want a cheap good cooler, get one of a Core 2 Duo.

Dual core ones are made of inferior material comparitevly.

dont go for p5b mx it has bios problems if you upgrade your proc to core 2 duo (confirmed by shingtech) i suffered so i changed my motherboard to p5kpl. Also dont buy motherboard from galaxy they are charging a lot for p5kpl go to asiatech in technocity (main distributors of shing tech) they gave me motherboard for rs 4000 whereas galaxy are charging rs 4600
