So i, converted from ios to droid need to know about essential apps, how to install them, use of gps, blah blah all things.

i have now noir a8

Apps depends on your personal usage/taste. For photography you may use, Snapspeed, Photoshop for phone, instagram etc you can either install those from playstore or you may download the apks using torrents or from Mobilism and blackmarket.

For GPS/navigation, 1.Sygic for Offline house to house navigation. (no internet needed after initial setup)
2. Mytracks for milegage calculations and tracking etc.
3. Google Maps for Sat Nav. etc ( but sygic is way better in terms of route calculations etc Personally I don't use this much)

What do you need to know.. there is viber, tango and whatsapp for calling and messaging... since you did buy a china version it was a bad decision should have gone with something like galaxy y or sony go or u which are very nice and way better preformance wise

As for installing there is playstore, amazon store on the play store and also there is a blackmarket with all apps free.

the best one I have used is chrome or the default browser. You can always try opera. As for downloader I dont know what you mean by that look into utorrent thats a torrent app

There are no stand alone downloaders for android like IDM I think.
Opera mini is great for browsing.

Bro, if you're gonna get a Q mobile, then of course you'll get a laggy piece of crap but if you use a high end android phone as Nadeem Saeed said, then you will understand its power. I have used two android phones up till now and I didnt get any lags on either one. However, my iPhone started to lag after being updated to ios 6.1.

Yeah I know that the A4 processor was quite old at the time of ios 6.1, however, what I meant to say was that it depends on the phone, annas said that his q mobile lags so I told him that iphone can also lag.

keep the lag aside..... even the Google's own chrome browser is much much better on ios than on android.... cant explain the horrible experience faced while searching for and using web browser...
