1)- What are you using to record this? Seems like it's some random, very basic recorder. I'd suggest get something like Reaper or Cubase. Reaper is free, but it takes a little getting used to. but it will give you very good results.
2)- Linked to the one above: have you leveled the EQ at all? The "mix" is very busy to say the least. You should mid-scope the palm-muted; seems like there's a little mid-level bleed in. Consequently, add some mid into the solos; makes them pop out a lot more.
3)- Linked to the first two comments: what are you using to connect the GT8 (I assume that's what you're using) to your PC (or whatever you're recording on)? I might be hearing some loss in audio quality...... and I am theorizing here...... due to bad leads perhaps?
4)- The lead guitar:
i)- match the delay (I think you're using it) with the drum's BPM. Other wise it just sounds totally out of sync.
ii)- I think I hear either a harmoniser or a tremelo or a detuner in the little lead riff on top of the rhythm riff there; it sounds good, but maybe you need to tweak it a little bit.
iii)- Solo around 3:20 is actually pretty decent! Nice work.
5)- Clean guitar in the middle; pretty darn good.
6)- You're playing through your headphones or something, right? Maybe using an ASIO driver? Maximize it in some way, I guess. I'm totally nit-picking here now; but the chugging riff part seems a few microseconds late! That happens to me as well with bad ASIO drivers or while I'm playing through my headphones.
Sorry if I sound Abuses will lead to bany! Just trying to help. You're pretty good, keep it up.
