Hi,
I need a suggestion I use adobe After effects, Photo shop, Illustrator. I just need to know should I buy GTX 1080 or should I buy Quadro K6000 the amount I can afford is 1 lack max. I do a lot of rendering and it takes me 1 hour to complete my task, I need to speed it up highly, My system specification is Core i5 6th Gene, 32 gb of ram, tb hard drive, 500w supply and gpu currently is 4gb GTX 960. I really really need your help if any one is out their so that who could help me in tackling this hurdle, will also installing ssd speed things up?.
Thank you in advance.

Well Apple also uses same intel pro and nvidia/amd gpu (a lil modified but still the same) so the hardware is same. It's OSX which is a lil bit faster in some of Adobe Applications. One can also install OSX on your PC if your mobo and pro is supported. The performance difference isn't that much to buy an IMAC TBH or to go through the hassle of installing OSX.

As to OP's question

buying a high end card won't really help rendering in Premiere or after effects but a Good processor will decrease the rendering times. You have a i5 processor so i'll suggest you to sell that and get something with more cores like the X series of intel processors (if you do it as a job, else an i7 will do just fine) with a good gpu like GTX 780 which will also help as it's in Adobe's supported GPU list.

Thanks for all the replies, Yasir Nadeem so it is better to change the processor instead of the gpu. Ok as soon as the market reopens I will make sure to search for the price's.

Can someone help me in differentiation of the GTX SPEED AND THE QUADRO, Like does the quadro render faster then the Nvida GTX series?

if you are rendering on high res then yes the amount of vram would also matter. Also the architetcure in both the gtx and quadro cards is the same. the quadro has premuim cooling tech and less power than the gtx so it could render for longer periods of time while staying relatively cool whereas the gtx rrunsmore hot and is not ideal for rendering on longer periods of time.

GTX cards are for the consumer while Quadro cards as said are specially designed for heavy workstations where multiple cards are stacked up for full time rendering and other stuff. You should not go for quadro AFAIK. Just get a good pro and a good GTX GPU and you're good to go. Rendering of 3D models, 3D scenes and such requires a good gpu for fast rendering.

Thanks for the suggestion, I currently am using gtx 960 4gb overclocked, I think it would be better to get the GTX 1080 as it is the lattest tech and have greater review in comparison to the Quadro k6000

An i7 pro and even if you get gtx 1070 it will be more than enough. However if you are doing video rendering as a full time job a x series pro will do wonders.

according to your needs it seems dual xeons are the best choice but if you watch the above videos that isnt the case
i will suggest you only need to change the processor get 6700k and also a good cooler

After watching the video that you have mentioned above, the result for rendering of the 4k is the same as for the dual xeon and i7, if that's the case I will have to upgrade to core i7, and the gtx 1080. But after the suggestion of many bbrother I will have to go for the GTX 1080 instead of Quadro k6000

Will the same mother board support the intel X series processor, and I am interested to buy 1080 instead of 780 as I have gtx 960 overclocked installed in my system.

I think it is better to upgrade my processor to X series, and buy the gtx 1080. Current processor is core i5- 6500 do I still be needing to upgrade it.?

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
