Need info about USB WiFi adapters.

I am looking for some cheap yet reliable receiver.

The range should be acceptable, i.e should catch signal of my neighbor. 30 to 50 feet I guess.

USB is my only choice.

Company, doesn't matter.

About time I get a backup for these PTCL sayapas.

bro go for some DSL....tried worldcall last week NO Signals poor result and now am using ptcl evo 3mbps max speed is 900kbps while download speed is 3-4kb/sec...These USBs are just waste of money

I have two:
1. TP Link WN727N -- Bought cheap for less than 1k. Dont remember the exact price. After just 15-20 ft., it struggles with receiving.
2. Linksys WUSB600N Dual Band -- Still costs around >4k, and receiving is excellent. However, costs about 3 times more.

If you want casual internet, then sure you can go ahead and buy one. However, with longer distance, the speed will be affected drastically. (Depends on the Connection Stability and Signal Strength)

Have this, work class A+++. It even works great on heavy concrete or walls.

Buy a usb adapter with a long cable and a detachable antenna, it should be marked as high gain high power adapter
