hi, you should mention if you want a gaming pc or just a regular one with normal day to day functions. You have not mentioned a display. Do you already own one? Is your brother going to game on HD or lower than that?

50k is not enough budget to go full hd, here is if you buy all things new.

i3 4130 @ Rs. 13,500
Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 @ Rs. 6000.00
Gigabyte 650Ti 2GB @ Rs. 17500.00 OR Get a Asus R7260X-DC2-2GD5 DirectCU II 2GB @ Rs. 18800.00
Kingston DDR3 Ram 4 gb 1600mhz @ Rs. 4250.00
1TB Western Digital Hard drive @ Rs. 7400.00
Thermaltake Smart SE 530W @ Rs. 5300.00
Buy a normal casing which should not cost you more than Rs. 1500.00

Total= Rs. 55450.00 (if you go with nvidia card)
or Rs. 56750.00 (if you go amd asus card)

You can also look at the market place here at PG, to see if you can find a used good mobo+processor combo of 2nd generation sandy bridge components. That will cost you less and you can then use the remaining budget to spend on your graphics card...so if you do find second hand mobo and processor and save 6-7k then upgrade you card to Gigabyte gtx 660 2gb @ Rs. 24900.00

Look at this deal http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f64/sandybridge-core-i3-2120-i3-190764/ total package of:

Processor i3 2120 + mobo intel DH61WW + 4gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz = Rs. 16000.00 only

if you combine this with

1TB Western Digital Hard drive @ Rs. 7400.00
Thermaltake Smart SE 530W @ Rs. 5300.00
any normal casing = Rs. 1500.00

that leaves you almost enough to get the Gigabyte gtx 660 2gb @ Rs. 24900.00

all combined your complete system would be around Rs. 55100.00

You can always upgrade the processor to a i5 2500 later on, which is very good for gaming.

Used equipment would yield better results. But I do not suggest buying NEW 660 for 25k. Currently the market is flooded with 660 for around 19-20k with warranty. I would suggest to shell some more and get 270x if you want a new card. If you want exclusively nvidia then 660 or 650ti boost would suit the purpose nicely.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
