Hello, since many pgers know that my current motherboard is b2 stepping, still it was working fine till yesterday, but yesterday my pc started giving no suitable boot device error on Startup but after 5-10 restarts it started and worked fine for a whole day and then suddenly it become so slow and as expected it was due to hd/sata port and reading speed was 0.7mb-3.1mb(checked by hd tune) when i restart, again boot error. then i changed my sata port and it started successfully and read speed went up to whopping 80mb-125mb, but it was still giving me that boot error every now and then. so i cleaned my whole pc including hd with paint brush and it booted without any error and is working fine but i'm v.v.confused what is causing this problem? motherboard or hd? if my motherboard is bad can you recommend me new one? budget is 8k but this time i want good motherboard with 2-3years warranty preferred and if hd then good 500gb hd sata 3 preferred with 2-3years warranty.

Voodoo I've already changed sata port and read speed became normal, will try new sata cable. any idea if its motherboard or hd problem? my pc is bit lagging every now and then but hd tune is showing good read speed. damage blocks were at 0.4% after testing full hd. i don't have any access to another computer but have an old laptop, which i guess is of no use.

and b\w those 2 motherboards which one is more reliable? and what about warranty? THANKS for fast replying.

If 2 RAM slots are enough for you then prefer Asus ... However, make sure it comes with proper warranty card of Shingtech ...

These error can be your HD fault or SATA port fault... try to check on another PC

but even if it is Hard disk fault, your motherboard could be the cause .... so better to change your mb.

Voodoo Well thanks for reply i'll check my hd in another pc. if its hd, what hd to buy? 500gb is more than enough for me and again i'll prefer good+more warranty. and is shingtech's warranty reliable?

the difference b/w seagate 1 tb and 500 gb about 1500/- ... i would say go for 1 tb... rest ur choice :)

i think POP or Marsen may give better warranty than Shingtech... but i don't know very much about this... so you can wait or ask other members

It was hdd's fault, mobo was ok(at least that's what galaxy told me) but i still changed the motherboard to Asus B75M-A and buy Seagate 1TB hd(with marsons warranty).

and i buy this motherboard(H61M DS2) in 7dec2012 then claim warranty in february because its lan card died so yes i was using this motherboard since feb.
