Nikon for better stills. Canon if you're more into videography. Ideal choice would be Nikon D3300 with standard 18-55MM VR lens. Since you're learning. Once you get a hold of its manual settings, buy a prime lens

Canon lenses are more costly, not less. Recently got my first DSLR as well and it's Canon 70D with 18-135mm Kit Lens. What assasin42o said up there holds true where Nikon shines more in Stills and Canon shines more in video content but don't think that neither can't do the another. They both will do it just fine, Nikon has more features in a way of it's BIOS on screen that you can edit and what not whereas Canon is more UI friendly.

Start with either but the suggestion given above for that specific camera model is decent in your budget.

Discard all said above if you've already purchased a camera, lol.

in 35k get Nikon D3200 with kit lens abhe koi deal chal rahe hai in shops so visit them or check them on line
or else get D3300 slightly used like join this page/group its and see for urself
baqi which is better? well there is no definitive answer for that, 4 years ago, it was Canon which was leading, these days its nikon, next it will be sony, Olympus mirrorless are amazing, pentax is superb
see if u can beat these specs by Pentax in this price, 6fps 16mp ISO 51000, weather sealed body n lens, inbody stabalization etc etc for 39.9k

if u ask image quality then Sony mirrorless r amazing value for their money, u can use any brand lens on them and Sony A6000 is still quite awesome value for its price (11 fps, 100+ af points, 24mp sensor, dynamic range as good as D7100)
im a canon user but in the end it hardly matter which camera system ur using, if u want good images, lenses matter not the camera and good lenses r costly no matter which brand u go

i personally use Tamron lenses these days, own new Tamron USD VC lenses 15-30 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8
but y tamron because im a landscaper n i want best value for my money as i dont do paid jobs like fashion wedding or commercial photography. But i am running Magic Lantern on my 6D which gives it extra features which r not even there in high end canon.
I started from Nikon D40X in 2011, got it used, learned how ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed function and give different looks to same image, also learned how shooting in raw vs jpeg makes different. If u still shoot in jpeg then y even buy DSLR?

so choose something, learn this trade n if u think if u can understand it easily then improve ur system. Dont think right now which brand is good or which is bad. Start from anywhere n just learn what is photography

Everyone gave you there suggestion just adding my 2cent here as well
first i didn't get the notification of the mention dunno how you wrote the name :shifty:

i am using D3300 yes everyone says that Canon Ui is easier but when you start to pick your first DSLR you will get used to of it controls
so easier and difficulty won't be an issue for you
with Nikon you can find cheaper body with kit lens in Lesser price with better specs compared to Canon
on the other hand the canon you would be buying will have lesser options in the same price range

so it is what you have to decide if you can afford the Expensive Lenses later on then Go with Nikon as it is better choice for the amount you are paying in certain range
If you cannot afford expensive lenses afterwards then go with Canon as the lenses are cheaper (they are cheaper because the Lenses doesnt have SERVO MOTOR for Focus as canon body has the motor built in where as nikon entry level doesnt come with servo motor built in so there lenses has the Motor hence adding up the cost)

Btw Nikon has those lenses as well which doesnt have Focus Motor and those are cheap somewhat similar to What CANON Lenses prices are, In those lenses you have to focus manually and doesnt offer auto focus

i hope that clears your mind a bit
so let us know what you decided and why you chosen what
