Well after some reading, listening the crackpot voice in my head and a lot of courage to spend the hard earned bucks, i decided to leave the samsungs, and HTCs of the day and make my way in the (relatively unknown in Pakistan) uncharted territory of original Chinese (brand/unbranded) Android phones (the original Android OS by Google, not the Chinese replica of the OS which you see on sub Rs.5K or Rs.6K phone) with MediaTek MTK6577 Hardware platform, which meets up to the perforamance scale of the regular ARM7 based dual core mobiles.
After much ado i got what I wanted for. So sharing just photos and initial experiences for any one interested in a similar feat. I have been enjoying it thouroughly and coming from a Samsung Galaxy S-II , i still dont feel any worth while feature is missing, infact now it is in the same ROM , mods, software configuration which my SGS-II was.
So being less verbose and more visual, here are the pics.
1. The box arrived safe and sound, pretty well built of hard packaging board, looked like the home to an expensive device.
2. Opening it was a mixed bag of feelings of high level adrenaline rush and the childish grim which appears in pulling the ribbons of an unforeseen sweet surprise. Here it was...
3. It was already talking to me.....in the face....that you did not make a bad choice choosing me as a partner....after all somebody as good-looking as you...needs a match...;-)
4. And it came with all the goodies .....of making its sensitive skin covered with protective plastic... to wipe it clean to keep it shiny & new .....plus the usual attachments...
5. Came with two 3000Mah batteries to keep me running for long....with a lot of stamina to perform ...
6. Its dual SIM....so not much need to keep carrying to second one....but i will for security reasons to safeguard as long as i can...
7. The colours of Android 4.0.x booted the first time....might not be as good as AMOLED, but not inferior at all at qHD resolution at 5.3inch screen. Just to add my knowledge these hybrid between a > 5" Phone and tablet are called "Phablets" .
8. The size comparison with my existing line and range...starting from left, the QMobile A2 Noir, Samsung SGS-II , and the current big brother of em all.
Have already rooted with a custom ROM. Am already on the way to utilize it for my daily routine with all required apps installed. It is excellent in battery life despite the big display and size and running Wi-Fi and bluetooth all day.
Just wanted to share the information with the rest of the community.
Do let me know your opinions. I know...."RE-SALE" is not a priority and ultimate intended objective of mine anyways.....

The actual Antutu Benchmark which I ran on mobile. I am not a mobile gamer at all, so the 3D game performance isn't an issue for me anyways. For me it is mainly the communication device with emails , messages, browsing and some bling bling in one place.
Occasionally i would watch movies from my home NAS XBMC media server (DLNA/Shares) in 720/1080 format which might need hardware decoding, so will check it and post how does it performs in it.
The deal is worth-while for me, but do not consider it to be extremely cheap (being a China brand phone, although even all branded electronics are made in china). It is known china brand with reasonable and commendable build quality. The price for which I got it is around Rs. 29K.
Got it in hand via a friend (personal carrier) traveling back and forth to China.
Cheers.
