Not bad i would say. As long as you are happy with it till then its all good.
If you try to switch for graded copies in the future do let me know.
NO MAN!...i have no intentions of paying 40,000 rs for a Sega Genesis game...no thank you :p I have seen the prices you put up and those make me laugh every time i see one of your WTS threads...for me, the game matters...not the box it came in. Pretty happy with my own collection. :)

I buy original games and dont support piracy, I take very good care of my collection...but i just don't go all psycho storing them in Zero gravity / Anti contamination air tight containers. Let alone...buying the a single game twice is stupid in my opinion.

food for your thought :

you never opened these so called sealed , graded watever games...whats the guarantee that the game you have now didnt come defective from the factory?...theres always a slight chance that you may have a defective or malfunctioning media.. ;)

Hello Imran,

There is a 0.000001 chance of that happening :chinese:. But its not about whats inside in a factory sealed market rather its about preserving History. No one will ever open them.
Grand theft Auto IV Special Edition that i have for example, After 10 years the year 2020 when ps5 would be here people Wont pay a very high price for a graded copy of GTA IV Cedition to open and play the game :) rather they would buy it to keep it somewhere to showcase/display it somewhere in there house . So that people will be inspired and would be impressed to see a brand new copy from the year 2010 still preserved like they were living in 2010.

Hence its not about opening it and hence a defective piece wont be ever discovered.

I do respect your opinion if you dont want to collect them. Graded copies i mean. I am fine if you have no intention of buying a sega game for 20-40k and i am also glad that you are very happy with your current collection. Its good to see that you dont support Piracy. Most people dont understand that concept either like people dont understand why i am buying factory sealed games. Similarly hardly any people will agree that we should not buy copied games on xbox360.

Happy to know that you take good care of your collection.

" but i just don't go all psycho storing them in Zero gravity / Anti contamination air tight containers. Let alone...buying the a single game twice is stupid in my opinion "

Arent you exagerating ? maybe you dont want to accept it because you would have to start from scratch like I did and its hard . I did it but not every one can do it i know. Its best to say I dont like to do it and walk away.

Still i do respect some of your qualities. Keep Posting.

One of the problems in Pakistan. People try to get Informal very quickly like they know me. Like they say in urdu Free Ho Jaatey Hain. You give them a finger and they try to grab your hand. God help such folks.
For your sake, I hope this was not an insult, because I genuinely wanted to see more collections. And I actually really like your formal attitude, people are missing that these days. So, what exactly did you mean?

theres still a chance your precious stored media may be defective...there is no guarantee is it?......and thats all good...really...but there are 0.000001 % people who'd go so far to collect it , If you are refering to future consoles ...there would be dozens of re releases of this game if it were worth the attention...plus the hardware to run this media would have been obsolete...and if there were any surviving consoles left...probably THEY would be defective or broken too..specially disc reading consoles....so whats the point?... for most PSX games i have licensed digital copies...and i am happy with those. Because once in a while i still run the ol bootlegs and have a blast from the past... that's what they are good for. I can store and make copies and take backups. no serious loading time...disc reading based crashes...totally hasel free and included with a digital manual as well....but hey! thats just my personal preference.

I think why you go to such length to obtain it sealed and untampered is because of your personal satisfaction...so i guess you and the other 3 people on planet earth who follow such methods for game storage and collection can rejoice is knowing that we are both fascinated and amused by your hobby :p

BUT!....i wouldnt go as far as to call it "personal" collection. You are simply taking a new copy and storing it till you get the right collector's price for it...i guess there is some logic to that....but i wouldn't call it "personal" ...this is simply a business....because people dont let go of something if its "personal"...no matter what the price...makes sense?

and if they wanna transfer ownership they simply give it away for free to someone else who'd take the same care of it as you did...because of sentimental value...which is priceless...dont you agree?

Hello Shah,

I took it as Sarcasm but as you have mentioned that you didnt mean to do that so i will take your word on it and in that case i think i took it in the wrong sense. Thus I Apologize to you and take my words back. Sorry. Please feel free to post here whenever you feel like.

---------- Post added at 10:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:19 PM ----------

Hello Imran,

"theres still a chance your precious stored media may be defective...there is no guarantee is it?......

There is a chance thats its defective but what i said in my reply above that it will never be opened. its not meant to be opened so we you are talking about a possibility which is a impossibility. So basically its not a issue.

" plus the hardware to run this media would have been obsolete...and if there were any surviving consoles left...probably THEY would be defective or broken too..specially disc reading consoles....so whats the point?..."

I said they are not meant to be opened Ever so why are you asking where would we run them ? we dont need to run them Ever. so we dont have any hardware issues.

" If you are refering to future consoles ...there would be dozens of re releases of this game if it were worth the attention"

The original release is the one that matters . Greatest Hits, Platinum Hits, Sega Classics etc dont matter and they dont get any attention if you are referring to them. There would be re releases as you mentioned but they would not do any thing to the original. I guess you are saying that the games would be re released so why collect them when one can buy a better version of it right ? so Here is a example check it out :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resident-Ev...0418?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item416064e9c2 resident evil 2 Original Cover 300 $ ( not even graded )

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resident-Ev...2865?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item4cfce9ea91 Greatest Hits ( your re - release ) 69 $ only

So we dont need to worry about the Trillion re releases which are coming :chinese:

" BUT!....i wouldnt go as far as to call it "personal" collection. You are simply taking a new copy and storing it till you get the right collector's price for it...i guess there is some logic to that....but i wouldn't call it "personal" ...this is simply a business....because people dont let go of something if its "personal"...no matter what the price...makes sense? "

You have raised a good point but i have a good reply for it . I do agree that collectors should not sell there collection but its not a Hard and fast rule. If you get a good price or you need money for something Urgent you can always sell it off. For example God Forbid If someone is in Hospital and you need money to save that guy. Ofcourse i would sell my game and save the guy i know.

Coming to the other part. I would say mine collection is Personal . How ? let me explain. Since you have recently show interest in my collection so you are unaware of my total Habbits. I have told you that i play a game . Sell it off . If i like it i order a sealed copy for my Collection. Now you have pointed out that if i sell them for profit then its not a personal collection its business rather. Ofcourse you arent referring to emergency cases rather you are saying it generally. The answer is that i have multiple copies of all these games. Say Uncharted 2. I got 2 copies and my third copy is coming on 17 Jan. Then i will have 3 copies. I just need 1 copy for my collection the rest i just bought because i liked the game so much. I bought the extras to sell on profit/break even or to gift it to my friends. So my private copy is always there with me Hence i will call it a Personal Collection.

" I think why you go to such length to obtain it sealed and untampered is because of your personal satisfaction...so i guess you and the other 3 people on planet earth who follow such methods for game storage and collection can rejoice is knowing that we are both fascinated and amused by your hobby :p "

Thanks . Actually there are around 35 people that i know and talk to ( not 3 :chinese: ). Apart from it there are around 150 + which are not in contact with me but i see there presence on Ebay.

" if they wanna transfer ownership they simply give it away for free to someone else who'd take the same care of it as you did...because of sentimental value...which is priceless...dont you agree? "

Are you referring to the Digital Version ?

Crapped? Dude, that is such a rude way to put it. I only said that Re3 was the best of all. Heck, I loved your collection. Honestly, I don't know what you are talking about.

so you mean that these games stay locked away forever and remain untouched by a gamers hands and have never entered a console and will have the same fate forever? whats the fun if you don't play/use them? :p

Hello Waleed and Welcome,

The games Dont stay Locked. They are free to move .
One can touch them whenever you want. They are in a Hard Acrylic Case and one can touch them a million times if you want. They are protected so no worries.
You are right in saying that they have never entered a console and that is there fate. They are Factory Sealed if we use the correct Terminology.
Whats the fun ? Well i do have one copy through which i play them and can play them whenever i want to. Plus you can use YouTube, where you can stream all these games whenever you want.
The Fun of Collecting is far far Superior . Briefly i would say that you cant Play a game forever so you enjoy it till the time you play But if you collect a copy specially Factory Sealed then you have fun with it forever. Lastly maybe one day you will make a fortune out of it. Who knows.

Excellent collection. Especially the retro stuff. I'm sure some of those can fetch a pretty penny even now. Do you have any SNES games in your collection? Stuff like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid etc? I've contemplated starting a retro collection as well in the near future and I definitely want to get my hands on those gems first. And perhaps some classic PS1 rpgs, namely Xenogears, Suikoden, Breath of Fire 3, Vagrant Story etc.

But yeah, again, pretty sweet collection. You should consider getting a nice glass display case to showcase your favorite ones. :)

Good Afternoon SpikeKun,

Thanks. I did not play the Snes and the NES hence i dont have Snes games but i have seen graded copies of ChronoTrigger, Secret of Mana , Super Meteroid and a lot more. If you want to see pictures do let me know i will post it.

It would be a wise move to start collecting if you are comtemplating about it. I do have some Ps1 titles but unfortunately i dont have the ones that you mentioned. I have Ps1 games like Re2, Re3, FFVIII, FFIX, Tomb Raider 2, 3, Theme Park etc.
