1st of all . try using Win7, leave winXP for good .. caz ur sys specs are pretty much good for Win7 to run smooth as.

Now for ur query .. uninstall win live msggr and restart and then use Ccleaner software to clean ur registry ... restart and then re-install ur live mssgr set up again and re-check if it's working fine or not .. signing in or not.

i've found a link for ya to ease ur situation u r into, do check it and follow the instructions if the above method fails .. though im sure it will work.

Use Trillian IM ...! OR Uninstall the previous version of MSN and download/install the 2011 version (might work)

man uninstall msn messanger using zapmessanger and clean ur registry using ccleaner and then clean install windows live messenger through official site it might solve ur problem

yar...that's is so simple u just need to forward sum port...if ur not unable to sign in.

Try it ! It worked 4 me.
