Salam to all PG members today I bring you the 1080Ti game of thrones edition (MSI Dragon) I got this card a few days ago and it caused a lot of trouble in the beginning not because of performance or quality rather due to its dimensions as it doesn't fit in my corsair 240 case that i have been using for a year and love it to bits and I dont know how I missed it maybe it was due to the fact that my out going 980Ti is one mammoth of a card its self in terms of length and thickness however the Gaming X matches all of that plus its wider than 980Ti which caused the problem so all in all i am hunting for a case and for the time I have set up the RIG in my old case that I was using for the 780Ti SLI build it doesn't match the black and red theme at all as its black and green lol so I wouldn't be posting pics of the whole system till i get the case sorted.

Instead of testing the card extensively for benches and comparisons I chose to enjoy and game instead and to be honest the whole experience has been nothing but splendid to say the least I am so happy that I went with the MSI gaming x.

Note: As always I will write proper experience with this card especially at 3440x1440 resolution which 95% of the reviewers don't cover so it will be fun but since its just a hobby to write reviews and impressions and I have a busy schedule it will happen at its own pace in buses, subways, Starbucks and sometimes at my desk.

The 980Ti with 1425MHz OC on core and +200 on memory

Graphics score 5977

Overall score 5808



1080Ti Stock on Gamig mode with 1544 core

Graphics score: 10033

Overall score: 8588



1080Ti initial OC +85 Mhz core and +450Mhz memory

Graphics score: 10651

Overall score: 9031



Results thoughts:

Now the fun fact is that I usually follow guru3d for all my GPU reviews Hilbert does a really good job indeed with all the results and their consistency so I scored 10033 in timespy on stock settings while his GPU sample scored 10062 however when I OC I got 10651 with +85 core +450 memory against his +75 core and +650Mhz memory and I HAVE NOT TOUCHED THE VOLTAGES YET I am very happy with this card indeed a brief comparison from the information available on guru3d

Gigabyte Auros extreme OC: 10593
Strix OC: 10395

My 1080Ti OC: 10651

Guys let me know if there's any comparison that you would like to see like synthetic benchmarks, in game benchmarks, in game comparison with 980ti, ultra wide experience etc.

Congratz a ton. I really like your detailed unboxing and not to mention exceptional camera quality. Btw how your pics have a warm tone? I always want that. Kindly mention the camera setup.
1080Ti is I think a really strong card with great price, also consider buying 3840x1440 ultrawide monitor at some point, it is way beyond awesome and a tad bit easier on gpu as well.

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios. I just want to say a giant F*** Y**! to Microsoft. THEY'VE F***ED UP BIG TIME this time.

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
