If Insomniac can improve the plot/pacing of the main story and add more meaningful side activities like the ones seen in Arkham Asylum/Arkham City, why wouldn't it get a 90+ metascore? 🤷‍♂️
Ask Miles Morales, apparently it was an improvement LMAO

My third preorder of the year. DS and RE4 remakes did not disappoint at all. Hoping this one will be great as well.

The only thing I am sour about is the missing disc in CE. Such a bad move on Sony’s part. I still couldn’t resist though.

It was, but it was also a much shorter game with limited content. And even then, more work needs to be done in the area 🤷‍♂️
But it also wasn't a $60 release so your logic fails 🤷‍♂️🤣

Everything points to it being a mediocre game 🤜🤣

Pre-ordered the standard edition coz no Across the Spider-Verse costumes for Peter and Miles in the Deluxe edition (they're likely gonna be free 🤜)

Curious to see if this game can finally rise above it's B tier status bestowed upon it by CerebralTiger. 🤷‍♂️😂

It has an A tier villain. That's already an improvement. Also, faster traversal should make everything more enjoyable  🤜
Villain kya kar le ga when it comes to Insomniac's outdated design? Are we still getting interrupted and placed in a convenient position when entering combat scenarios? Or warning signs for leaving the mission area? They need to focus on that, amongst many other things, more than an ultimately meaningless speed upgrade 🤷‍♂️

I'm more concerned about whether Peter/Miles will be able to seamlessly transition from the open world to an indoor area without any masked loading. Will be disappointing if that's not the case 🤷‍♂️

LMAO @ the speed upgrade being meaningless :ROFLMAO:

Neither of those things will be addressing the short comings of the previous games, so yeah, ultimately meaningless 🤷‍♂️🤣

Necrokiller's issues with the game are minor nitpicks that can easily be rectified by Insomniac. In fact, if anything, they had to do extra work to place Peter/Miles in a convenient position at the start of combat scenarios and to add a warning sign when the player is about to leave a mission area 🤷‍♂️

Though, I do agree that if the game is going to offer a dynamic experience, re-positioning the player to a scripted location prior to combat scenarios isn't the right approach.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
