I like the idea of gamer rep system...it could work out if u have a unique and user friendly ideas abt it. There are still vry few websites in this area that actually work

Not to sound like an ass or anything but, besides ideas, what else do you have to offer, OP? Do you have any experience or skills related to this project that you are assuming, besides buying a domain and website which costs just a couple of dollars? From what I see, it's just going to be a couple of teenagers throwing around random ideas back and forth on Skype, and after awhile, they will realize that this wasn't really going to work out anyway.
First off, Know that EVERY successful idea implemented by any techie faced massive criticism, From Steve Jobs to bill gates to mark zuckerburg, they strived and they succeeded.
The mass market appeal was occupied by a competitor, or was simply not there but people like them made it. Bill gates had a passion for computers in a time where the future of computers looked so bleak and dim, people thought it would be an immediate failure, now look! During the rise of Facebook there were countless other social networks, but Facebook presented a unique concept and people adhered to the calling of the ' next big thing '.
if you went back and told bill gates ( who had no funding, his father was a wood chopper ) that computers were going to make him a billionaire, no doubt that he would laugh his arse off.
Do you have the will? the desire? the passion? GO FOR IT, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Also, it is very naive of some people here to consider Facebook so popular, it is only popular HERE. Japan, china, Germany, Russia all have their own versions of Facebook that you probably have not heard of, and they have a massive following.

u are totally right facebook is not all..country to country got thier own networks...i want to make something for Pakistan ..and if it goes good then globally also...
plus a rep system website for gamers is aslo a epic idea for pakistani gamers only..but that is another project..but will not give up..as i mentioned before ..plz suggest what is ur need in a social network...i want to fulfill ppl needs also..having ppl discuss what they need in a new social network also helps me a bunch!!

A social network is not limited to Facebook, twitter or website.
Plenty of apps and websites have their own social networking going on with multiple platforms.

guys plz suggest things and features u would like in a social network...as it will help me a lot in my research.. i am making notes my my ideas and sketching models.. everything is rough for now.. as soon as i get a bit more good ideas i will strt to pick the best ones...
They couldn't find advertisers and there traffic was increasing day by day so they had to upgrade there servers to cloud or something. But without money.......
1 interesting feature that i found on there site was that all the youtube videos were getting indexed with ishowtube.com
