Making Social network!Need partners!!

hi all!i want to make a unique social network.. i know its a long shot as facebook and twiter dominates mainly most of all social networks..it will take time..it will take hardwork..it will need unique minds to meet!..but making a social network different,easy to use and unique in its own way is my dream..i wanted to make something different that people will acknowledge and be happy to use it..i request u all to plz share their prespective ..i need upto 4 people who would help me in this project and mainly a webdesigner..it will not be easy but to make a community that has it all is my dream..all 4 people who will help building my website will have shares in it..i will always be fair..i will hold 51 percent of shares as i will invest in buying domain and website etc!!
plz people help me!i need unique thinkers and suggestions!!!

not to sound as discouraging but making a successful social network is an uphill battle. Problem is not technical, infact technical part would be perhaps most easiest. Major Problem is the substantial amount required to fund such a site, Hosting, Server Maintenance, Traffic Bills. FB had many early investors like goldman sachs to take care of these things but there is no concept of angel funding in Pakistan. Even if you somehow manage the money and use cloud to bypass all these hurdles next comes the stage of viral adoption and popularity.

Pakistani ppl are notorious for clinging on to old habits. Orkut is a glaring example, which you guys on this forum might not use but it still has substantial popularity in Pakistan. The Last but perhaps the most important part is how are you going to make money ? As advertising is the dominant business model then you will find no solace in knowing the fact that Pakistani online advertising market is perhaps more smaller than a rodent's brain. You remember the first time fb was banned in Pakistan and suddenly within a few days MFB popped up, well despite quickly gaining a following last time i heard they were requesting direct cash donations from members to keep the site running.

On the other hand if you just do it for fun then i can assure you it would look brilliant on your resume(assuming you do not use ready made scripts) and will help you in getting a job.

zylo123 has valid points but its my dream to make a unique social network..simply to say i want to be remembered for my invention..as i said before i dont care of making money i want people to invest a bit and support me all the way..i need people with me to discuss plans and help me..i need help simply to say..i am trying my best but i cant recruit anyone..i have requested on every pakistani website i know .... if anyone of u want to help me plz post here...i want partners that are up to the task and are motivated like me..

I cant tell if you are trolling us or you genuinely want to do this, anyways have you thought of anything different that you are gonna do from facebook and twitter that will make your project stand out ?

Just saying but why not make an alternate to Youtube instead? That could be genuinely successful with the right amount of time and resources.

I do remember how viral www.ishowtube.com went in a few couple of days when they launched it but there server has been under maintenance for quite some time now and i don't think there is a chance they might be reviving it anytime soon.

please dont take it personal, I just wanted to chip in to help you the most.

the moment you said you want to make a social network you fail to execute in building a thought, to make something extra ordinary you have to go out of circle and think, I am sure you must of worked a lot to just finalize your genre of product (in your case its social network) and you must of seen atleast 1000+ social network sites running on fake ID's and spam bull dogs, I dont remeber exactly but I have seen a website an exact replica of FB and they all empty and silent.

I think you better start again with selecting your genre.

as i said before i appreciate ur thoughts very much..but making a unique social network is my goal..i thought of making a youtube like website but its boring and not my type plus youtube is youtube..i really need help... ppl join my team..i really need help with my project..i am trying to think out of the box here but i need help.. i cant solo do this..
if u read my above post wolfy u will see i also mentioned a rep website for gamers..but that is for another time ..my main focus is this!!
