LG has just showcased a new 5.5-inch display for smartphones that has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, with a pixel density of 538 PPI and 430 nits of brightness. LG is calling it a ‘Quad HD’ display because it has four times the resolution of a typical 720p HD display.

538 ppi :fp2: Why don't manufactures focus on making 300-350 ppi displays more power efficient instead ?

I am sure it'll be jaw dropping but i am with you on this. I'll be more happy with "Technological Innovation" in screen (or battery) department.

AMOLED show great potential where unused pixels on the screen can be turned off for more power saving. Then less power eating displays are also in existence. Why can't they combine all these features to make the best of all :\
