So there is this new Deputy Commissioner in Peshawar who have been pretty active lately. He has exposed some big fishes in the market. let the pictures speak.

I was always against Tutti Frutti because of their super expensive products. I tried their mango shake which had some weird ice balls, it was for 400 or so. Its taste was so pathetic that i decided never to visit them again. The funny thing is that the manager in his defence blamed the lad who dispose off expired items and also stated that the expiry dates of the products are in american format

Pizza Hut was sealed because they had few expired items like dough, flavour, etc. Although, KFC's situation was pathetic, they had expired buns and a lot of rotten vegetable, i am thankful to god that there wasnt anything fishy about the meat. BUT after a day or so these both joints were again opened and had pretty good crowd just like before.

This was the only chinese restaurant here and our very own Journeys End most favourite xD

90% of the peshawar's restaurants have been found guilty which includes the famous Pearl Continental, Shiraz Ronaq, Greens Hut, Mr Cod, Munchies, Dunkin Donut, Pizza hut, KFC and alot more. Nevertheless, there is this restaurant known as Chief burger (Afghanis preferred food joint) which could be considered as modern 'Thela' has satisfactory hygiene.

So yeah! we are left with literally no place to go to. As a foodie, this is a disaster for me. Consequently, AMMI ka khaana for me :D

Damn guys, just read this after having Halwa Puri. Feel like puking

On topic, funny how all these multinational restaurants and companies turn out to be dirtier than some desi restaurants. Their hygiene policies (lmao)

The real issue with the hotel industry here is that they have no experience/certificate. Anyone can open a restaurant and start a business easily.

What needs to be done is to teach them how to run a successful restaurant and make sure to have an environment that fulfills the ethics and policies of actually running a restaurant.

I bet it is the "Bathroom factor" :p

The mind shudders to think what kind of horrors will get unearthed if these people end up in Karachi.

or scratching the privaties :looking: you never know
This feature is basically a staple of all famous Pakistani restaurants. Considering most of the local chefs, I won't be surprised if they have crabs too :tv:

Sheesh....all the hoopla about expired food products.

Expiry dates are arbitrary people! There is no proper guideline on labeling of expiry dates except in the case of baby food. It is almost always the case that foods past their expiry dates are perfectly fine to eat.

Doesn't matter, I for one can taste the food to be different in snacks for example when they're past their expiry date and it's the for a reason which is not for it to be ignored. Our immune system living in Pakistan has definitely made us all rather stronger as compared to the west but that doesn't mean a crackdown on these businesses shouldn't happen.

As for the OP, Hassan:

That's certainly a good step indeed but if you're saying they were reopened couple days later then I'm not so sure about that.

A hefty fine on them will be totally justified. Did they make sure the quality was up to par when they reopened or was it all just to get some bribe money? I certainly hope it was with genuine intentions.

Apparently it was, few of them were actually sealed others were fined with some arrest of the managers.

That's great but if they are out in couple days it doesn't mean shit but at least they're taking steps towards this case which is a good thing indeed. As long as they keep monitoring it, it should be a good thing for you guys there.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
