Sent it for repair after a week or so they say it cant be repaired (wtf)

I believe it died to extreme fluctuation and low voltage

Anyway need recommendations in a budget of 15kRs
can be increased somewhat if needed

1. HDMI
2. Has to be good looking (sm1)
3. 21"
4. Has to be good looking (sm1)

There are only 2-3 models available in Pakistan. Is it so hard to look up this information on the usual dealer's sites?

Glad I could help. BTW the st220l has terrible reviews online. And just so you know people here will recommend what they've used and they've almost always used only one of the latest models. So with no experience of the other models they will just say their purchase was the best. It's only natural. And you won't find too many reviews of the other models online either. None of the tech sites bother with the budget LCDs that find their way into Pakistani stores. Cheap monitors don't generate much affiliate revenue so why bother reviewing them?

So the best thing to do is to read the comments of ordinary people on newegg. Ignore the comments that praise and only focus on the comments that criticize. Then do the same for all the other models available locally. Buy the monitor which has the negative comments that least affect you. So for example if a monitor's comments talk about bad speakers and you don't intend to use the monitor's speakers you can ignore those comments. Most monitors will have wobbly stands so take that into account as well.

Increase your budget upto 20k and get yourself a Samsung BX2331.

Hard to find, but worth the price.

BX2331 is way out of my budget

@Zeus man AOC is somewhat of a new brand for us and i cant buy without feedback from someone about it

Dell ST2320L has terrible reviews online so im gonna avoid it

ive decided on Samsung 20A300 20inch or maybe the 21.5inch Model

seems pointless now to spend so much on Monitor as i watch Movies and stuff on Bravia anyway

What i am gonna recommend u now is to go to techno city or uni and check out every brand LED/LCD display.
Reviews are reviews (some what suni sunai bat) although they are effective but the last person who decide what is best suited for his need is you.

while my priority is to get the best picture quality regardless of thickness and etc,
i had this bountiful display which i sold (View sonic VX-1940w) some months ago to buy an hpx20Led... and believe me i havn't meet better picture quality then that while as per reviews view sonic is considered a midi brand.. it was awesome but i can't get it now.. and now i am wandering helter and skelter for a good picture quality display.. i had the following consideration and the bugdet could be varied for what's worthit;

--AOC http://www.aoc-europe.com/no_cache/en/monitors.html?useCacheHash=1&showUid=11
G
ood foreign reviews but no local experiences

--DELL ST2220L or ST2320L
http://accessories.dell.com/sna/products/monitors_flat_panel_widescreen/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1&sku=320-9333
Midi foreign reviews yet good local feed back

--HP X20Led
Good reviews but bad personal display checking experience...

and always go for a better picture quality display regardless of size because if u don't watch with satisfaction the size does'nt matter

and yea one more thingy do give me feed back cause i am in the same position.. goodluck hunting

@hasanJ
bro who is asking you to go for st2320 or st2420...we r recommending u st2220L....its a lot better than anything in 22inch displays... :)
st2320l and st2220l are the same built (quality and etc)... have u chked there display personally?
if they are then 2320l is the best buy for 17.5 because u would get 1.5" more for just 2k more.... m i rite?
