The g50-70 is coming with a 1.6 ghz U series processor which is slower than the i5 4200m 2.5ghz coming in the G510 .........
Is the G50-70 (i5/dedicated graphics card) recommended for mid-end gaming and web browsing or the G510?
Go for g510 with 8750m and i5 4200m, U series processors are not good for gaming, 8750m will do low-mid end gaming....
There are no good local gaming laptops available which pack a punch.By current standards for good gaming performance anything below 860m is a no go.820m is a pos,840m has lazy ddr3 memory ,,heck even older 8850m is better than new 840m..
Anyways the cheapest laptop with 840m i could find is ASUS X555Ln

I love mobile gaming and prefer laptops over desktops due to their mobility but the price makes you jump off a cliff :/

I need a advice on this laptop. Im getting this for 84k new. I also want to do gaming and work on 3ds max. It has 1080p screen as well and i7 4th gen. Should I go for it or is there any better alternative

Where are you getting it from and What is the exact model? Btw, I don't think a x40 gpu is good for gaming...Atleast buy a laptop with x60 gpu...

2 things.
1. Screen isn't that good
2. Dual 650m sli...some games don't support sli well...you will see microstutters.
Bonus: this is the older y500...For 1 lakh...not a good deal
leave it man , go for a lenovo Y50 in this price range , GTX 860M AFAIK PERFORMS SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN THE 650M SLI , ALSO LATEST DRIVER SUPPORT ,ALSO NEWER CPU IN THE Y50
