Im surprised no one from here is playing on supercade or ggpo. It is just.. does not make any sense. It is quite possible you folks have not checked this out.

These programs run mame roms of street fighter type games and allow you to play multiplayer against each other. no matter what country you are in.. If the opponent is in the same country or even continent you will have a very smooth match.

supercade is the easiest to setup if you want a taste of things
GGPO is where pro american tournament fighters show up to rumble..infact i have seen many regulars in the kof98 room number 3

I hope to see you all there

All the information you need to set things up along with instructions are here.

The Beginners guide to: 2DF | GGPO | Kaillera | MAME | ZSNES | Port Forwarding

if you need any help just ask.
I am using qubee connection and on a router.have managed to setup everything properly with ports forwarded (very important) so i guess i could give some local centric advice

Which games are you playing? Playable inside Pakistan?

Plus, please fix your post since the link isn't being displayed.

I hope i have fixed the post.. very sleepy.
I am obsessed with street fighter 3 3rd strike right now..and i have random co-op runs on mostly cave shooters like espgalude, don don pachi and dimahoo. let me host a match.. show up on supercade. im on as wolfmoonx.. you do need to have the proper rom for street fighter 3 though.

Well, most of us live in the present and play SSFIV. :p
Having said that, SF3:TS is an excellent game in its own right. The fact that you can play Alpha games as well as Vampire Savior on GGPO really makes it irresistible.

I don't know about the rest but GGPO's pretty popular and I've known about it for a while now. Inability to play with KB/Controller is the reason I stick to offline Third Strike.
Anyway, this thread will help those who are not in the know. So thanks.

I usually play only on console because my fightstick is incompatible with my PC.

P.S. I love how you created an account just to post this thread.

I also love to play games on kaillera mame emulator online. I have played many times Tekken 3 online / King of fighters / Street fighter etc. with others players outside the country. BUT I haven't found any paki player there. I think either they don't know about that free online service OR they are not interested in playing these games.

What OS are you running on your PC? Also, what's the make and model of your Fight Stick?

There are drivers that can globally override keyboard commands and interface with pretty much any peripheral device (Xpadder and MotionJoy, to name a few).

^ Those softwares wont make a difference if the OS doesnt even aknowledge the fight stick. Those software are only useful when the emulator you are using does not support the fight stick , incase of the fight stick not being recognized on the OS...those are completly uselss.

By default, Windows XP/Vista/7 or Linux don't acknowledge any console-specific arcade stick, nor do they support the Dualshock3 or Wiimote. However, there are simple workarounds for it. The problem arises when the OS enforces driver signature verification. All you have to do is disable this function at startup and install the appropriate drivers.

I've been having problems with getting my TE to work on the PC too, and after spending much time searching and reading, it's apparent that the PS3 version of the stick does NOT work on certain chipsets. I can verify this, the stick gets installed and recongized on my PC but doesn't register any button presses or movement. Tried it on my laptop, it uses Windows 7 too and the stick works without a single problem.

People on SRK forums got themselves PCI USB cards of a specific brand to get the stick working. Other than that, I tried virtually everything software related but it just doesn't work on my PC.

Well, yes, it's possible that certain Fight Sticks aren't compatible with some PC motherboards. But even then, a workaround does exist in the form of compatible PCI USB cards, like you've mentioned.

Thankfully, my PC's motherboard is compatible, since I recently got a friend's SFIV arcade stick working on it without going through such issues.

Started playing on GGPO yesterday . Most of the crowd is in the KoF '98 and '02 rooms including many Pakistani players . The pings are a bit wierd as there is no lag when playing against European players but it lags with some Pakistani players . Sadly there are only 3-4 Garou players and not many SF3 players .

The Xbox360 joypad also works fine .

Overall I have to say that GGPO is awesome when there is no lag (even with a little lag its great) .

If anyone wants to play my id is GaMeRAGE .

I also started playing GGPO from 3-days before. I found it very good place for playing kof 97,98,2000,2002 etc.
I played with pakistani players and enjoyed very much. Many of them are tough players of KOF..
