Hey wassup people........inferno and progamer bhaijaan...thanks for the advice......i sold my mobile and IPOD and i raised enough money......Nokia 8800......... i sold the old computer for 10,000 .......had 50,000 from the sale of the mobile(the guy who bought it wasx a total idiot)(bow)........and about 15,000 from the IPOD (the chick who bought it was sure smart)......anywayz i was surfing the net and found a little story about the WCG pakistan team that couldn't go because of the visa problem.......well i also read about the PGA.....they're supposed to be Pakistan's gaming honchos.............and they couldn't do anything.........man i'm really worried cause i really want to play in this year's WCG............you wouldn't believe the s*^#$^$% i'm getting from my parents because of it.....Quote" Spending rs 90,000 on your pc....are you f&%(#$% insane?!?!?!?!"...........and the time i'm spending at the local gaming cafes......but still what role does PGA have than if they can't even get players Visas:mushy:

There is a long story about PGA..they came in to existence years ago, and at that time they claim that they will promote gaming culture in Pakistan, will build high-end gaming cafes etc but sadly they disappear very quietly within the short period of time! I was a member of PGA forum once

Anyway, I know what is going on with you..as I am also belong to the same breed of desi family (aniti-gaming) so I can understand your pain lol!

As far as the going to WCG concern, U need to contact the Playdium (they are the official affiliate/organizers of WCG Pakistan) though their own forum is dead but U can try your luck anyway by contacting them at: http://www.pakistangamingleague.com/forums/

PGA = Pakistan's Gamers Association they had the website www.pga.com.pk and they ended their operation years ago...so what U need to more about PGA? there is noting more about them to discuss..

However PGL = Pakistan Gaming League or in other words Playdium.net (a local gaming cafe) is responsible for holding up WCG trials in pakistan (karachi)

well.........after reading the email that Inferno bhaijaan posted.......it is not possible for these socalled PGA "Founders" to raise that much capital and finance such a big operation................State of the art........meaning loads of computers........factoring in the prices of hardware, location and other costs.....it would have cost the guys....the least 2 or 3 crores:mushy:

:O thats really sad to hear about the visa problem..!! wtf is going on these are just gamers like any athlete who goes overseas to compete! nevertheless the thing about your parents is that they will say stuff like that lets face it PC prices in pak are very high - but for a gamer like you its also important to have a balance in life i.e gaming, study/work - so as long as you maintain that balance your parents wont worry too much.

As for your hopes i think every gamer in pakistan owes it to themselves to do something about this...to let themselves be heard and known as a professional community.
