Is my laptop's mobo fried?

My laptop's charger was giving some problems, had to twist the jack of the charger it order to get it to work. So I decided to open it and repair it myself yea it was a kind of a DIY job so I opened it and there were three wires two of which were misplaced, didn't had a soldering iron so decided to use scotch tape instead. During the process it gave spark a couple of times but at the end I was able to repair it however it was way too fragile Luke if you put a finger on it, it could have easily been short circuited. I plugged in the charger uta displayed the charging light Holla! I was done repairing it. After a min I unconsciously pressed it and boom the lappy started acting like a maniac. The harddisk light kept on, it was stable. All other lights were off then took out the battery and then inserted it again but no luck the same light was indicated. I removed the charger, now the laptop isnt even starting not even that hdd light -__- plus the chargers also screwed. My question is that what happened Here? Did my mobo fried or there's a problem with the battery? And why was that hdd light turned on?

I tried this method to make my laptop work. The laptop did turned on but the laptop of turning on and off back and forth ( that HDD light was turning off and on)

OK.....TRY TAKING OUT ANY CORDS AND TAKE OUT THE BATTERY AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON FOR DOWN for 30 SECONDS THEN PUT THE CORD BACK IN AND TRY TO TURN IT ON THEN PUT BATTERY BACK IN.
