Any idea what the customs duty will be on a TV?

I asked PkShip.com ( a service to import things from amazon and have it delivered to your doorstep) about the cost it'd take to import a ram. Here's the link

and they told me around 27k PKR when the actual product costs around 12k. I then asked them what sort of hidden charges were being added and they replied.
Import duties +Air Freight +Consolidation in USA +Operating cost + Local courier

I asked for the details on the individual prices and they said
Customs duty @20% (including Regulatory Duty,if any), Sales Tax @20% and Income Tax @6%

However after checking with the latest Pakistan Customs Tariff, computer accessories fall under 84.73 and the Custom duty is 3%. When I enquired them about this, they stopped responding. So wtf is actually going on here? Are these guys looting in plain sight or there really is 20% CD or the PDF I viewed is flawed.

Secondly, if anybody can be so kind to tell me how the heck do people do an import computer parts (mobos/rams/gpu) and resell business here? And their prices are damn cheap. Do they not pay CD and the GST or what? Or is the trick as simple as importing such a large amount that the overhead gets distributed over individual items. But surely the shipping cost increases with the weight of the items as well. So what trickery is going on here?

I always want to get into this sort of business but don't know from where they are importing and nobody even tells me. It's like I'm a kid being left out at lunchbreak while all those popular kids are discussing their secrets xDDDDD

So this means they really are misquoting the CD 20% instead of 3%. I don't care if they pay taxes or not but atleast quote the right amount of duty, lol. How they actually get by all these charges is another trickery I don't know of.

Still don't know about the normal people doing the computer parts selling business though.

The reason is simple.
Profit on ignorance.

That's how business is in PK.

normal business owners get stuff via vendors etc who also smuggle most of their stuff into pk, smuggle as in dont pay taxes or lines made up in customs to bypass em etc

He told me its' true that the duty is 3% but they make all those computer parts fall under 20% and charge us 20% so we inturn charge that amount from our customers. I asked if they ever tried to report it and they gave me the usual answer of "It doesn't work and it takes too long and you're like, just f this and just get our merchandise by paying the extra 17%".

Dunno whos in the right or wrong here. But apparently someone is looting either the customs office or the service provider. The only way to find out I guess would be to import it directly and see what custom duty do they charge me.

just visit any local gpo, go there and some shady man would approach you always for these kinda things

Bhai I've stopped the orders till middle of june 2020. Flights are not yet resumed and all of these third parties which claim they are importing will make your money stuck. I can assure you that Internationally item deliveries are gone turtlish. Pakistan Airspace isn't going to allow anything open till 31st aug 2020

That would end up costing me way more, I could have someone bring me an RTX 2060 Super or something with that kind of money. I think I'll have to wait just a bit more. There are additional charges which will be shown when you get the receipt by the customs.

it dont work that way. they calculate on their own terms. when you import something from foreign they would put sales tax and all that on it
