Year: 2011
Country: Canada

The best beguiling child voice to come out from Canada is this songstress 'Grimes' and this track from her last year release gave her recognition from all over the world. Video may be not up to the expectation kinda isometric and kinda spineless bumpy ride. Though music and the Bass factor counts big time.

overall a track of juvenile harmony. Me like it.

Discovered this band by accident. Decided to download their album, stumbled upon the whole album on youtube :D Very versatile band. Low how they add the rhythm using their electric guitars. Great listen.

Track: Enough Time
Band: The Ghosts
Album: The End
Genre: Synth Pop / Indie pop / Electro pop / Indie Rock
Year: 2011 / 2012
Country: UK

OMD, PSB, Erasure ....? well a combination of these various bands will bring 'The Ghosts'. To me they are new but they sound from the past. beautiful blend of synthesizer/piano pertness and above all Simon's comely voice so tenderly peerless. Good song with a different concept video. like it. Though song start reminds me of prestige Orchestral Manoeuvres in The Dark's late 70's song and then it flows between Pet Shop Boys & Erasure-sque voices on synth twines. So GOOD.

Second album after 'The World Is Outside' and people with this kind of indie taste must have this new release 'The End'.

Good ol' days of FIFA' 04. Perhaps the first Indie tune I really dug. And it's still one of the most memorable guitar leads I've heard.

Track: Two Rings
Band: Ice Choir
Album: Afar
Genre: Synthpop
Year: 2012
Country: USA

80's revival. i smell something FRESH cooking with an old ingredients. Scritti politti / Pet Shop Boys / New Order/ Tears For Fears / Soft Cell / Duran Duran all big names of the synth history will be pleased with these new comers who've broaden the synthpop name in the year 2012.

Brooklyn’s The Ice Choir lovingly mixes the Petshop Boys aesthetic with plaintive vocals similar to Tears For Fears to create a seemingly paradoxical mix of melodrama and calm that blends together effortlessly. Two Rings is their debut single to be released next month. Of course it doesn’t hurt that these guys are also just as easy on the eyes as they are on the ears.

Excellent excellent just surreal. delicately sung with clean vocals. perfect.

Track: Fate
Band: Young Man
Genre: Indie pop / Indie Rock
Year: 2012
Country: USA

23 year old Brooklyn indie P/R band emerged onto the music scene not long time ago. Amazing experience listening to this song. Colin's voice really a adolescent purity hardly heard on most indie bands these days.

It's really good to know this band and their upcoming album will be a great treat for this winter.

Track: Trembling Hands

Album: Self Titled
Genre: Indie / Indie Rock / Indie Pop
Year: 2012

Late in downloading the album after white rabbit hit the local shores. soon this track was heard i cursed myself for not hearing the full album in time. A big fan of this Melbourne based indie musical mien. Regardless of what these maestro experiment so frequently the uplifting tune never goes bland. Much delighted to hear the Trembling hands chorus. Mandagi just genius .... video, have i seen this before, Will young's ... Jealousy?!!! well who cares, song is a knock-out for sure.

Track: If Only We Remain

A galloping progression less then 190 days left to wrap up this year, more good music bellowing fast to our ears. Most anticipated debut album from london retro-indie outfit is on its way. so unique, 60's dark guitar synths on lively tune.

Song at one stage seemed too short but after a hoop thingy vocals and sound captivated me to even think 'bout the length of the song. A gleeful moment hearing this ... a good indie/lo-fi music weapon to try on slothful personality who says indie music has lost its charm.

definitely an album to be heard this summer.

Track: Dance Bear
Band: Snakadaktal
Single: self titled
Genre: Indie / Indie pop / Indie-tronic
Year: 2012
Country: Australia

very rare we see young people of current time take indie music serious. its fashion to promote pop culture rather than something that clearly focus on guitars, emus, synthesizers or even electro motif coloured drums within pop beats.

A big example is a 5 set indie based group from Melbourne, Australia. Phoebe and gang are young but have a true passion to take indie music to the heights where no teens have done in the past. I listened few past songs likes of chimera (a classy act)before hearing this dance bear hysteria and really loved the music. For once went teeter on phoebes voice and how the band really engaged themselves on bringing out a mellow make-believe tune.

it's charming, avid and interesting. video .... so vibrant, smoke filled backdrop.

singles and then again single .. now is the time for a full length album that will good for a comprehensive review. if someone will hear this on FM Pakistan do lemme know as this band deserves airplay where it needs the most.
