Identify FAKE Chargers and USB Cables with Android App and Samsung phone

Salaam all,

I have been ripped off/tricked several times while buying original chargers our USB Cables. Looking for pictures online for differentiation from Fake items is literally unhelpful.

Then I found an application that helped me identify fake from genuine via Amperes of current each charger gives while charging. So far I have tested 7 to 8 chargers and it clearly distinguished between Original and fake chargers and cables.

Even useful for Identifying Fast apadtive chargers.

It's " Galaxy Charging Current". Available on PlayStore for Free

I bought Pro version as I think developer deserves it.

I will explain in detail later how to interpret readings and know it's fake or genuine

Ampere is a better app imo.
Do you check by noting the ampere rating whether they are near the rated value of charger?

How do you identify the cable? What is difference of original vs fake cable? I have seen original long cables dropping current while short generic one charging well enough.

Works mostly only on galaxy phones and there are other apps out there like these but don't work on all phones. Shows the charging amperes.

I don't have my laptop currently, as I get my hands on it I will show a complete tutorial on how to use it and identify Fake vs Genuine.

As I said, currently it's for Samsung phones and Amperes is good, I tried that too but it's not as fast and accurate as this one.

I also use Ampere and remember that you will get false readings if your phone is hot so let it cool down a bit first and check the charger/ cable for at least 2 minutes.

Been using this app while buying charges..love the way shopkeepers get stunned when they are told that the charger is fake and instead get an original one or nishta
