How to sell a piece of land in Pak from overseas?

Hey guys, i need some help regarding how plots(piece of land) are sold in Pakistan. I was in Pak in 06/07 and my uncle decided to buy some plot in rawalpindi or Islamabad area on my name. I told him it was a dumb idea and i didnt want anything to do with it but he just wouldnt let go. So just to make my dad stop nagging i went along with it.

Today my uncle calls me and tells me that he needs me to come to Pakistan for couple of weeks so he can sell that dump, i fucking knew this was gonna happen and now my dad wont leave me alone. I dont know how big it is, i know that it is in islamabad area and i dont care about the money.

so i was wondering if someone knew if it is possible to sell it without me going down there, what's the process and i would welcome all the suggestions and tips you guys are willing to throw my way. I dont know anything about this so you guys are my only source of information.

it would mean alot if someone who is familiar with this stuff, would take a couple of minutes their time and reply :mushy:

Get a power of attorney prepared in your name, conferring power in favor of your uncle or any other relative as per your convenience to sell the said plot. Get it attested by the consulate general of the embassy located in foreign country where u reside and send it to your attorney/uncle to whom you authorize to sell and then he can execute deed of conveyance on your behalf for the said plot.

first of all. thank you for replying. means alot to me. so what it means is that my uncle prepares a legal document that says he has full authority, he faxes it to me then i take that to the embassy and get it verified by them? have i got it right?

Not a faxed document, but original sent through courier duly attested by Notary Public / Oath Commissioner in Pakistan and by the Pakistan Embassy overseas.
