good video i have seen a friend doing this, but damaged two controllers, xbox's controller is very sensitive and u need to be very careful of overheating the board so that is y it is a pain to solder wires in 360 controller, also each button has its own ground while the usb controllers have one ground which works for every button so its like effort and time of soldering two usb controllers = soldering one xbox360 controller, dont do it if u havent solder wires in your life lol....

Just go to college road, Adjacent to Lahori samosa house there are a few electronics parts shops like IC Master, Madni Electronics.
Then on the opposite side Faheem electronics, "New Allied Electronics", New Dynamic Electronics and others, these are all reasonable people, even if they don't have the parts they will guide you to the most appropriate shop.

For online purchases I would refrain from such, and order anything not available in local market from Roseace, who are the main distributors of RS Components, located at "14-Y,Shahnaz Plaza, Johar Road,F-8 Markaz, Phone 051-2261841-2, www.rspakistan.com" most reliable but the lead time is about 6 weeks.

Some tips, if you haven't done soldering particularly on SMD type boards, don't know how to trace the tracks, and don't have the necessary equipment at-least a digital multimeter, etc please refrain, as soldering on such board requires expertise, and high quality soldering iron/station (no more than 20 watts) and high quality precision tip which is seldom available from the local market, along high quality soldering wire. 360 controller boards are very thin, less than standard, any extra pressure will break the board

You are welcome.

The answer to your question is yes, starting from the good old Sega Saturn to XBOX360, I have made arcade sticks.
Last year my son got obsessed with the Arcade Box, so I bought one from the market "college road" for Rs 3000 and put his 360 in the arcade machine, obviously with some tweaking like using an LCD instead of a CRT, ample cooling, DVD drive extracted and mounted externally etc. Its not the one that I made but looked like it.

Its not difficult, but requires knowledge of electronics and practice.

I could have recommended someone who could do it for you, unfortunately, I haven't met a single mechanic whom I could trust. So I would suggest go for the catz one.

JLF or LS-32-01 for the stick (either is a solid choice)
Sanwa or Seimtsu 30mm's for the buttons (sanwa are more sensitive but seimitsu come in clear for adding artwork).
I would avoid the official MS pad and go with the madcatz sf4 pad for xbox360. It's a lot easier to solder and has 6 face buttons and 2 triggers which do not require inverting like the MS pads and slimmer :)
