when you play a movie or something you read from hdd/ssd but when you copy something or make changes in data you write the higher read/write speed higher the performance comes from hdd/ssd. usually ppl purchase ssd for windows and games because this way windows speed increase alot and gaming loading speed decrease alot. so a 120gb ssd will be more than enough.

^^ 60gb means windows only... and even thats not advisable coz when win 8 rolls around it'll eat up 30-40gb easy plus memory headroom/virtual mem etc and you're looking at space of atleast 120gb.

If you want to play games faster (only loading times decrease) thn its recommended. Personally I dont want to spend 15-20k just so I can boot up m PC quarter of a second faster... but its your choice. Ive read good reviews abt Intel SSDs plus they're available in Pak, others not so much.

Intel FTW. if short on budget then corsair.
i am using a corsair force 3 60 GB it is a good drive but dont know why it takes 40 Sec to boot. (time includes bios posts). it could be due to having 4 drives (250 GB+ 1TB+ 2xRaptors in RAID0 ) i have not tried booting after removing these drives so not sure.

i have checked boot speed after removing drives no major difference felt only 1-2 Sec difference can bee seen. so concluded that it is my bios which is taking most of the time other wise it is only 15 sec from windows booting screen to desktop full ready.
here is my boot racer's yesterday history u can see some 21-22 sec booting time which is that becuase i tested with 10 programmes which will start at startup that included
PS CS 6, Adobe reader, Chrome, Firefox, IE, Office 2013, Utorrent, Yahoo widget, google earth, Windows Media player, VLC. all of them were full ready to be used in 20 Sec.
