How to avoid ban

Hey guys , kind of a noob question but I wanna know will I be banned if I go on xbox live just for the purpose of updates (not play any games on it) . i just wanna register my console and stuff . will i still get banned ? my console is a modified Jasper (NTSC/J)

My suggestion....play your burned games offline and you wont be detectable, if you do plan on playing on live, buy the games you want. Another suggestion would be to stealth patch your games. But its not guaranteed that you wont get banned.

why register if not play online? and well theres no solid way to avoid it, just try to remain online less.. do your work fast and get out, and secondly as you dont wanna play online anyways then keep your drive without a cd when you go online mb..

Play original games, don't modify your console. Thats pretty much it.

There is no proper/tried/tested way to avoid getting banned on a modified console.

ok don't know if this is the right place for this but I've got a somewhat related question. What happens if you're playing an original game on a modded console? The sole reason I got a 360 was to play Halo online but lately there have been a lot of cool games coming out and I've been thinking about getting it modded but I'd hate to lose playing online when something like Halo Reach comes out.

@ your question, I am not sure but lots of people say that playing offline with pirated discs and playing online with original discs helps...But lots of people also said that iXtreme 1.6 is the safest firmeware :p

You're up against a software giant, you think they will sit by as firmwares upon firmwares are released? They are obviously working on how to crack open the LT firmware as we speak....Or may be they already have.
