Go into Device Info > WAN and see which configuration is being used.

PTCL modems usually come pre-configured with 8/81 and 0/103 because they can't be bothered to re-configure them depending on whether the line is fiber or copper.

So meaning he lied about it being a hybrid? so what do you suggest I talk to the exchange's SM or head to their HQ?

& you said browsing depends on DNS and from what I know you can use a third party DNS server like Google Public DNS or OPENDNS which will be faster than PTCL's isp can you guide how do I change my DNS?

There's a long explanation behind your first question. Ask the exchange to give you a new line from the ONU.

You can change your DNS for every device connected to the router or for your PC only. Typing it out will take forever so you can Google it, a very easy process.

But if you want the entire router to use a different DNS, typing that out will take even longer. So, you can download TeamViewer, let me take over remotely and set it up for you. It'll take a total of about 5 minutes.
