How much is it worth? urgent opinion needed....

a friend of mine gave me his xbox..
its a Xbox 360 Jasper, 2008 model.
it is just the xbox, with no accessories.... (no j-tag)
just the console.

the console is in pretty bad condition, physically speaking,...
scratches to the body, a crack on the side, spring of the usb flap broken, no bottom cover.
i have put uploaded pics below you can check the condition below.
however, it is not banned from xbox live.
and works fine.....

^^^^ main damage, cracked metal,... the impact cracked the interior too.

missing cover^^^

so the question is, how much is this console worth..? keep in mind that it is just the console, with no accessories....
just give a general idea...

He means "FOR" 5k. I think it is worth around 9k as one used console in good condition with no accessories(just one controller) would cost you around 17k.

dude before even paying just get it checked if its working or not... it looks like the current economy of pakistan

and also 2008 jasper, chances might be slim for that... it might be falcon...

but considering the over inflated prices of fat jasper xbox, 4.5k would be awesome..

You can get the accessories at these approx. price
controller for 2k
power brick 1-1.5k max
hdmi/power lead 500 max
NEW casing white: 800-1000
----------------------------
total cost of accessories: 3500 / 4500 ...

so even if you pay your friend 6-7k that would be ok i.e he is ur friend

coz its hard to find jaspers in the market for less than 16-17k.

but get it checked first before buying any accessory.

Yeah, and it might also have the RROD problem. That problem was fixed in 2009. That's what the retailer told me when I bought mine. The 2008 model was costing me 5 k less than 2009 model. But it had heating up problems.

i was thinking of buying it, actually i took it to another friends house, and tried it with his accessories, it seems to work fine, played Army of two on it...
worked like it should.
i was thinking of buying it, and then getting it jtagged... would need to get the casing changed, as the current one is close to junk,.
i have a controller already, so i will need a power brick,..
i am not sure about the jasper or falcon, but i will check it out,
i offered him 6k already, but he declined.. looks like i will have to show him this thread...

but it is what it is, i dont think is worth more than 5k..
and after that i will have to put money on it, to get the casing changed, and buying the accessories...

if you want you can either put up a thread and might end up getting even a black casing for it... Or you can try contact 2 of the best and respected modders of pg in lahore

And it definitely will include everything... you can get rrod consoles bw 1k-2k, there would be a grave yard of fat xboxes to chose from

dont worry about that... just deal patiently so you dont end up getting ripped..

^^ well going through 6 models of xbox fat since 2006, yeah you can say tht

imo that xbox is falcon and not jasper... you can check the power listing at the back around the power socket if its not too damaged..

Secondly, since you mentioned it was turning on, do check its dash board version. should be not be more than 14619,
coz it wont be able to get jtagged/rgh ...
to check, go to settingns, system info ... there depending on the dashboard you'll ve it located in different place..

Lens i assume would be dead or would about to die... but since you're planning to jtagg it so that should not be an issue. you can check by running a game or two... ( But dont update if the game asks too)

lastly, its a beaten up system... so dont ve too much of a hope out of it ... and dont end up shelling out a lot of money that it reaches the price of a mint condition xbox
