how do i connect my xbox 360S with lcd monitor?

well guys am new to this gaming world so i don't have much info regarding these things i want to connect my xbox360S with lcd monitor (dell 17 inch model dell1704fpt) through female hdmi to male dvi convertor when i connect cable and switch everything on and swap monitor mode to digital input the screen stands blank and shows nothing :crying: i just google the issue but can't find anything

!!!!!kindly help!!!!!!

bro you use dvi to hadmi cable if your lcd has a dvi port so dvi-hdmi is best for you but i think remember that these cable only give digital video but not audio you have to buy vga cable of xbox360 to get audio

are you sure the cable is working ok? since i am using my 360 in the same way..hdmi to dvi and it works perfect

You might be having one or more of these:
1. The HDMI out port of Xbox is not working
2. The DVI in port of LCD is not working
3. The cable itself is not working

I connected my Xbox in the same way you described (it was a Dell too) and it worked perfectly fine. Also, if you don't have built-in speakers on your LCD, you won't get any sound. The solution to that is you cut off the plastic guard from your Xbox AV cable and use that for sound (plugging the other side in a speakers set). To make it clear, you will be inserting both (HDMI and AV cable) in your Xbox at the same time.

Thank You so much all of you for your support, i just simply bought HDMI to DVI cable and its working fine and for audio i was thinking to connect my speaker with optical cable to 3.5mm jack (female) how about that???
