Most reviewers are saying most games are best optimized for PS5 due to easier optimization on Vulkan based system. It's not just Hogwarts.

Game has been cracked but I don't know... how is it for people who don't really care about the universe?

The entire visual identity is lifted from the movies, if you've seen the movies you'll have a lot more enjoyment from it.

Otherwise it is a decent WRPG in itself as well. But, again, very heavily playing on the movies visual identity.

I'm guessing it would feel really weird if you haven't watched the movies @Necrokiller. Pre teens with wooden sticks and a freakishly big campus learning magic from equally freaky teachers

Started this yesterday and just finished the prologue and the initial tutorial quests.

Even though I am at the very initial stages, the game definitely has that magical charm that i was expecting from a game set in that universe. The characters and the design of hogwarts school itself is exceptional and full of nostalgia.

The one thing that's slightly annoying is the loading time while opening doors. I thought that was soooo last gen.

And done with the game. Gave it a good 40 hours with the main quest line and a size able number of side quests.

Overall, a pretty solid game. The main quest line was really really good. The 3 side missions with the long side characters story arc were also extremely well done.

A lot of the other side content felt a bit bland with the regular bandit camps, merlin trials etc. The gameplay was solid too but the god damn spell control scheme was so unconventional that even after 40 hours i couldnt nail it. The armor RPG elements were particularly sub-par. It wasn't as bad as Wo Long but still bad enough that i didnt give any importance to it. I also thought that the enemy variety was pretty limited. The open world was kind of a mixed bag for me. It felt good at times when you stumbled upon a treasure map and went out exploring but often felt it followed the Ubisoft open world approach with a lot of hand holding. The hand holding approach often present in modern world games has particularly bothered me after BOTW and more recently after finishing Elden ring.

But overall this was still a very enjoyable experience and Port Key did an extremely good job especially for the fans of the Potter universe.

Soo, just started this and yeah its surprisingly....decent from a world building perspective. I'm still very early in but the game throws a tons of objectives/challenges/activities at you to complete in the open world and seems like it'll take a while to see how the combat comes together. Hopefully the story is interesting too.

But I can definitely see why its the best selling game of the year. This universe never got a half decent AAA game before and there is no shortage of Potterheads out there.

Game sure has pretty interiors with RT.
