Hello everyone! I am currently in final year of A-Levels(pre-eng). I am planning of going to Europe for my undergraduate degree. I have few queries, I have shortlisted 4-5 German universities, I know they require certain level of German language skill to get you in. But the problem is I can't manage to join any language here in Pakistan, because of tough final year schedule. So, is there anything like PRE-COURSE thing where you can apply to learn German from the University you apply in. I checked RWTH Aachen they do provide such thing, but how do I let University know that I want to learn language first. I don't care if my 1st year get wasted in language learning, I just want to move ASAP. So the main question is do all Universities provide Pre-semester language courses? Or do I need to learn language before applying visa and universities application.
Secondly for Turkey, I have shortlisted METU and ITU, they require IELTS, TOEFEL or there own language test. Can I apply without IELTS or TOEFEL and give there own test after applying?
-My grades in O-Levels are (1A and 7Bs)
-AS Level transcript (2A*, and 2As)
-SAT score (1740, I didn't reappear because US deadlines were reached)
Please help thanks :)

Hey sorry for late response! I am not talking about AS Result, I didnt appear in AS. Those grades are of my COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT
Right.

Pointless calling them AS then, because the universities worldwide wont see them as AS.

Anyway. The requirement for METU (the original campus) is pretty high. They do see your Olevel transcripts too, as well as the entire schooling transcripts. They want consistency over one blip in the O's/A's, contrary to what most of the world believes.
Eye A*A*AA if you plan on getting in. And mind you, these grades aren't easy to achieve in the A Level finals.

The other mode of entry is SAT. METU needs just Math and CR. Typically you'll need 700+ Math for ANY Engineering degree in METU. IMO a cumulative score around 1300 should get you in (with math >= 700). Tougher programs like Mechanical and Electrical Engineering cutoff's tend to be around 1400+

What degree do you plan on pursuing?

Thing about uni's in Germany and Turkey is, you have to choose your program BEFOREHAND. Don't expect them to give you a little bit of everything before you can choose. They're unlike the Americans and Canadians.

Are you studying in Turkey?

Okay, so apply to METU with hope, as mentioned above getting in metu is a bit tough but "I" personally think not as tough as the guy above mentioned (unless he is more authoritative than me off-course i.e if he applied/studies in turkey); 1740 is a fairly good score and with "very good" o level and a level transcripts you can surely make it to metu. My friend from fsc background went to UW Madison (which is high above in rankings too, 35th in world) with a score of 1750, an excellent matric result, a very good statement/essay and a good fsc result. Although we cannot compare a public american institution with a top turkish institution but still some general conclusions can be drawn from this analogical argument.

1. Sat score of 1700+ has fair enough chance to get in METU (and I am sure the guy who wrote that a high score in mathematics is needed would probably be correct)

2. O-levels and A-levels results do matter.

3. Essay is the most important component after above two components. Essay is like a game of persuasion with no rules. Just write an exemplary essay, a naturally unique one. It should talk about you, your passions, your motivations. And it should be "natural","from within".

ONE WORD OF ADVICE: DO NOT GO IN GERMANY TO PURSUE BACHELORS DEGREE. All degrees (as far as I know) of bachelors are offered in german and even if you get enrolled in a comprehensive language program, it is extremely difficult to study and learn material in another language and that too of undergraduate level. Please don't do it. Try applying for some other country and its English program.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
