Salam everyone
I think the title pretty much explains what i am gonna be asking you guys about so...let me explain the
current situation i am in.
I was unleashed on this earth 26 years ago, now working as software developer/programmer in Islamabad, and currently married.
the company i am working for is Komatsu Limited.it is multinational, stable and pays well for the little amount of work experience that i have. Despite all the
good things i have (Alhamdolillah) i am quite not satisfied. why? because i had always dreamed of working abroad,
living in europe, travelling etc. Currently, i am in a junior position with almost 2 years and 4 months of work experience.
the job timings are 9 to 6 officially but i usually end up sitting till 8 pm. while the team leads usually sit till 10pm.
Work life-balance is something of extreme importance to me. I hate it even if i have to sit 15 minutes extra after 6.
I am afraid that i will never be able to do late sittings like all other team leads do here.
Currently. i believe i have two options.
first one is to apply for MS degree in a german or norwegian university.
why these two countries? because they don't have tuition fees, good for me because i hardly have 0.9 million in my savings which go as high as 1.1 million in next year.
My elder brother is doing his MS from Denmark Technical University. It is expensive, i cannot go there.
I did apply to university of copenhagen last year, got admission but was denied of scholarship. My cgpa is 3.31 only.
Even if i get in a German or norwegian university, what are the prospects of surviving there with little amount of savings that i have while living with my wife?
What are the chances of of getting a part time job for non-native english speaker while studying and would it pay enough?
What are the chances of staying there after i have completed my graduation? My wife is also a computer science graduate and is O-levels teacher in City school's main campus
in Islamabad. so what are her chances of getting a job there either in Germany or Norway being a non-native english speaker.
Second option is to wait till i get to the 3 years of work experience mark and then apply for PR in Australia.
Australia is about 5 times more expensive than Germany when it comes to education so MS from there is not an option.
How is that as an option? would it be easy to get a job there based on an international degreefrom a third world country?
Should i save up money for about 6 months to survive till i get a job? how much money would i need? are six months enough to get a job?
What are the prospects of my wife getting a job there. she also has about 2.5 years of work experience.
are there any other factors that i should be concerned about? any other questions that i am not asking?
Sorry for going all out on questions but i am really confused and need to plan things ahead before its too late and i might run out of options.
so i am waiting for your valuable response, since a lot of members are already living abroad and have been through pretty much similar situations.
