Imma Pindi Boy!
If battery changing dont solve your problem than change your set with another G3.Recently i was with a friend who was out to buy a G3 too and our shopkeepers are pure and simple CHORR u have to be extra careful in dealing with them and a tip for you dont show weakness they cant afford fights with every customer.

back to my friend story in every shop here i was seeing korean G3 aka cat 6 market is flooded with them right now so i tried few and than set my eyes on one asking price was 17K bought it for 14K perfect condition i played it with close to 4 hours in shop even my friend was tired.but got him a good phone no problem till now in his G3.
What is CAT6 G3?
I was about to buy a G3 but this thread is really scarry. I should re-think

Definitely scary .

I'm thinking of giving it back to the shop and getting a samsung j5

Its working better today but was still restarting quite a bit .

Will take a pic of the battery and send it once I get home , year of manufacture is 2014

OK as an update ; I went Friday after work and the guy replaced the phone and gave me another peice with a battery, I saw that it didn't have a logo and wished it was the international version but I saw ls990 and got happy thinking it might be the international version. , Saw a few root applications installed and got happier ,

Then finally came home and checked it , it was the sprint version , but this time I thought I wouldn't change any apps or update the firmware , I would use everything stock ,even though it was still on 4.2.2 lol

How ever since it was rooted and It was on 4.2.2 with one day left to return it to the shop guy, I wanted to check what recovery is installed so kept rebooting trying to get into the recovery so the only log is full of manual restarts by me , no problematic restarts :)

Then finally got the courage to install twrp recovery which is way easy now compared to how I had to do it back in the day ,

Next line of business was to find a ROM , I was struggling to find the best ROM and there was a pick between cm13 and fulmics 5.3 , . While reading the cm13 reviews I found out that many people were having trouble with the marshmallow update and restarts, which led me to think maybe it was the auto update in the firmware that was fucking around with me.

Anyway since cm13 didn't have many of the features of fulmics and needed an additional patch for carrier phones , I didn't want to take a chance installing cm13

But installed fulmics and I've got to say I was really impressed with the whole interface , features and stability .

Today I charged my phone till 100 percent at 11am, flashed two updates of the ROM, was out the whole day , using texts, calls , flashlight , wifi , Facebook etc , and when I got back at 12am it was 30% and now that I'm using the wifi constantly and typing , with no GSM signal in the background , the battery has dropped to 12% and still no restarts !

Now I'm really enjoying the whole g3 experience and understanding the joys of owning an lg g3 !!

If any of you guys are using the ls990 (sprint) with xceed kernel do let me know your feedback and provide me with a link, I wonder if it's better than stock kernel of fulmics

This may cause more problems that it has solved for you in the long run.
Sprint phones are really annoying to work with. Especially if you're a mobile data user.

Anyway, at least you got a new phone and it doesn't reboot itself.

Mark the thread as solved if you feel that you're done with it. :)

I dont know why ppl go for G3 when 98% mobiles out there are refurb shit .. I bought a s5 active for 15k last month for a cousin and he is loving it every bit, I had it last year and its awesome. Plus its rare so very less chances of getting refurb .. btw I did put it in water nothing happen :) anyways hope this one works well for you that G4 thing is strange btw
That extra screen real estate worth .5 inches and the ability to have nothing to do with samsung's useless add ons becomes such a great point to buy a g3 over a s5 that it's not even a thought. Once you go 5.5 inches buddy there is no looking back!

Sir I have used G3 and currently using G4, yes it has bigger screen but all other things are just bad specially battery and refurb phones being sold in market.

Battery timing is pretty good, managed to get near to 7 hours display on time, yes true about refurbished phones but once you get a good peace, it's heaven!

I'd advise if anyone wants to see the full potential, flash fulmics rom

Really feels good compared to the GT N7000.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
