OK as an update ; I went Friday after work and the guy replaced the phone and gave me another peice with a battery, I saw that it didn't have a logo and wished it was the international version but I saw ls990 and got happy thinking it might be the international version. , Saw a few root applications installed and got happier ,
Then finally came home and checked it , it was the sprint version , but this time I thought I wouldn't change any apps or update the firmware , I would use everything stock ,even though it was still on 4.2.2 lol
How ever since it was rooted and It was on 4.2.2 with one day left to return it to the shop guy, I wanted to check what recovery is installed so kept rebooting trying to get into the recovery so the only log is full of manual restarts by me , no problematic restarts
Then finally got the courage to install twrp recovery which is way easy now compared to how I had to do it back in the day ,
Next line of business was to find a ROM , I was struggling to find the best ROM and there was a pick between cm13 and fulmics 5.3 , . While reading the cm13 reviews I found out that many people were having trouble with the marshmallow update and restarts, which led me to think maybe it was the auto update in the firmware that was fucking around with me.
Anyway since cm13 didn't have many of the features of fulmics and needed an additional patch for carrier phones , I didn't want to take a chance installing cm13
But installed fulmics and I've got to say I was really impressed with the whole interface , features and stability .
Today I charged my phone till 100 percent at 11am, flashed two updates of the ROM, was out the whole day , using texts, calls , flashlight , wifi , Facebook etc , and when I got back at 12am it was 30% and now that I'm using the wifi constantly and typing , with no GSM signal in the background , the battery has dropped to 12% and still no restarts !
Now I'm really enjoying the whole g3 experience and understanding the joys of owning an lg g3 !!
If any of you guys are using the ls990 (sprint) with xceed kernel do let me know your feedback and provide me with a link, I wonder if it's better than stock kernel of fulmics
