[HELP] GPU Upgrade

Which gpu should i buy radeon 6850 or 7770 and in which brand HIS or GIGABYTE(upgrading from xfx nvidia 9800gt green edition).

Also recommend psu wattage(cpu intel core i5-750 may overclock to 3.5 ghz and gpu as well to decent clock in future).​

7770 is a great card but sadly its at the same price point as 6850..
SO if u chek out the reviews, most of them state that 6850 performs better and therefore is a better buy compared to 7770.
And both Gigabyte and His r great companies but i prefer gigabyte ..

And for ur PSU, any Psu of 500watts 80+ is good enuff for u...

definately 6850 its 256 bit i m using it right now its an awsome card 7770 is just ok and 128 bit on the other hand . gigabyte is the best for 6850 buy it

as you can see there is price difference, also if you r interested in Gigabyte cards, I recommend go to easetec, the main dealer in techni citi and they will usually match galaxy's prices
(depending on the fact if they don't have a special oc edition of the card that you are looking for, in that case the prices will vary)

Get Antec EA 500D @ 6K. It is a very reliable PSU.

Bro overall 6850 is better because it has 256 bit bus...but ocld 7770 may have some edge in some applications.

I don't know if you bought the 7770 or 6850, but Price of Gigabyte 7770 oc is dropped from 17k to 15k and now I think 7770 is a better buy, check czone.pk.

6850 is no doubt faster, but 7770 is only 5 to 6 frames less in majority of games and now with price decrease I think 7770 is a better buy.

Well bro, Ati 6850 is better and there is no doubt about it. A month ago both 7770 and 6850 were at same price and buying 7770 was nothing more than a waste of money, but with price drop it's a lot different story.

I still say that if you have a money buy 6850 but for everyone's information, I checked galaxy and His icooler 7770 is available for 13700, which I think is a best buy and it may be overclocked to mach 6850 performance.

Who gives a bullcrap about the memory bus, the 7770 (Gigabyte OC version) performs great. A Xigmatek NRP-PC 502 (500W) for 4.9k from IMX would do.

Totally agree, but I think even a 450 watts PSU with 30A would be enough for the card as it requires less power.

Ok, I've checked the benchmarks and I found out that Gigabyte OC 7770 is lot faster than His icooler 7770. It's 1k more but almost gives 7 to 9 frames more, and like murtaza12 I recommend to get gigabyte version. Sapphire is even faster, but it's way overpriced.
