Alright here's the issue I have to put up with lately.

It happened with my earlier Core i5 2500K and now with this i5 2320.

Apparently the iGPU is Intel Graphics HD 2000 aka GT2. But the problem is the driver defaults to install the driver of GT1 (HD1000). The iGPU does work (using it currently) but makes the graphics choppy on GPU intensive places such as youtube, any low end games i.e. MOHAA, CS and so on.

Like the screen is out of proportion and GFX's are randomly scaling thanks to the crap driver.

I've tried downloading the official driver off Intel's site which results into giving the error of 'Not recommended for this product' yada yada yada. And also force installation but that also rejects the driver and doesn't let it switch onto hd2000.

Any fixes for this? Even my earlier 2500K in the start ran on HD3000 on default but after I put in and took out an external PCI-E GPU, it downgraded to HD2000.

HELP ME!!

I assume you are on windows 7
the first thing to do is to make sure there are no remenants of prior drivers, discrete or intel in ur system. Either invest in driver cleaner or install windows a fresh on a dive that has been wiped clean
secondly make sure you have igpu as the primary display srtting in the bios, not auto. Make sure you have not overclocked the igpu, which i am sure you have not

Third, are you using vga, dvi or hdmi to output ur signal . This should be question 1

HD1000 shows up on GPUz/CPUz ? instead of HD2000?

What motherboard are you running and did you run your previous 2500k on the same motherboard?
If your answer is 'yes' to this question, then try updating the bios if you haven't before and see what happens.

If the drivers within windows isn't fixing the problem, then it has to be related to your bios/motherboard.

No it's a different board. But same situation. This is the weird part :s

Yes indeed! Windows 7 64x! Even checked with Driver Max and same results. HD1000. Not running overclocked. The iGPU is set as primary in the BIOS but I'll check again though and let you know the feedback!

there isnt much to this..
use driver sweeper...in safe mode and uninstall all intel drivers..
after that..
install the latest drivers from the intel site..
and use the igpu as 1st boot..
the issue should be resolved.
if the issue persists then go for a a bios update...
the rest should all be good...!!!

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
