[Help] COD4 Multiplayer

Allright all the COD4 fans out there.

Heres some problem my friend is getting from the past 1 week just after he bought his new card JUST to play COD4 8500gt,yes i know its a low end card but all he need is to play COD4 on Medium IQ on descent resoultion

The problem is that when ever he plays on any server usually Elite1 and Elite2,after some time the game hangs,yes no shutter at start just smooth and silky but after few min (about 5min) it totally hangs and for that he need to restart his whole system.

I even reintalled his OS,done full format,unistalled the old drivers.and then installed COD4 again along with the patches required to play it online.but again it hangs once he started playing online.

The other thing i need to tell you guys is that ALL other games are running just fine i.e he tried COH,L4D CODWAW single player...and also when he tries to play COD4 in single player it runs just fine and he played it straight forward 4 hours without shuttering.

Also checked out the temp of GPU and CPU,both were under 50 degree.

Here are his Pc specs:

P4 3.0Ghz
Msi mobo
XFX 8500gt 512Mb DDR2
1GB DDR2 ram
CM 350W psu

Drivers are all upto date downloaded them from guru3d also from nvidia but that didnt helped either..

Not to mention,once again.all other games run fine.
Hes a addict of COD4 and his Nick on servers is Satrycon.

Help is need..

i think maybe his ping breaks from time to time thts why his MP Game hangs while SP runs flawlessly

culd be a problem with his Connection

he tried COH,L4D CODWAW single player

try other games mentioned here online to see if they have the same problem

^ Was also thinking the same.and my COD4 sucks a great deal on online too..too much lag..makes overall experience dull

it shuld run fine on 8600GT?
i played on my 7600GS and was bearable online tbh

Man it can be RAM size ?? ... COD4 is known to use much RAM for MP specially ... check that .. try to put 2 GB RAM (Just for checking)

i had 7300GS and !GB ram and i played cod4 all day i have like .250 hours on wateen .unfortunately my 7300GS got grilled so i bought a new 8500GT and now i cant even play

no blue screen man just game hangs like a statue after roughly a minute and sp3 is the worst
and if there is a problem with my windows then how come i played cod4 for a year on the same windows

Or try plugging in the mic cable coz my COD4 doesnt start if i unplug it....!
And may be u are banned from the servers....!
Have u tried on Micronet servers....?

yes pb is up to date and mic issue is on vinsta i belive and why will i be banned??i dont have lvl55 hack and yes i have tried all servers

i also got a iw3mp file and copied it onto genuine one

LOL man i just downloaded latest drivers released on 6th march fromnvidia.com and all other games run fine like company of heroes and cod2 and fifa08 and even cod4 singleplayer

the thing is no error report occurs game crashes and then i have to ctrl+alt+delete to escape or reboot
